I havent messed around with any other class yet, but god druid has so many awful skills.
Like, for instance, Heart of the wild. 3 skill points for NINE spirit? Freaking 9? What the hell is that? Would love it if we could swap Abundance with Heart, so im not wasting a point to get to wild impulses.
Then we have the companion tier, where, of course, every ability is broken.
Has anyone found a use for boulder? Why would i want an ability that knocks our targets out of range for every other attack we have?
No companion ult or real key ability.
It seems like half of the druid skill tree was an afterthought.
I feel that Druid was an experimental class for alternative playstyles that’s not traditional to Diablo, such as knockback or trickle-down poison. Of course they didn’t pull it off, but at least they did put it all on a single class so that it’s easier to completely overhaul
Heart of the wild is a gateway node to the two nodes above it. Likewise ancestral fortitude is a gateway to vigilance. It’s basically 2 throw away points that don’t bring anything to the table but are necessary to our sustain and survival.
I’m sure other classes have throw away nodes as well. Just as they have unique gear that doesn’t drop for everyone.

Sorc is pretty poorly done right now too. Their conjuration tree is just as useless as our companions.
A lot of stuff in d4 needs to be reworked
I use Boulder as a open skills it’s fun to follow mobs as they are push 2 screen away and take damage in the same time if normal mobs it can kill them. Sure you need a build that take advantage of boulder.
Boulder followed by Pulverize and mobs are gone if they didn’t die from the boulder alone.
Right now my build consist of :
Earth Spike (to stun)
Pulverize
Debilitating Roar ( fortify for +2skill and Slow )
Boulder ( Slow )
Hurricane ( Slow, Vulnerable and +2skill)
Cataclysm ( Vulnerable )
Earthen Might ( So fun when Pulverize generate it’s own spirit and be able to spam it 10 time in a row )
The +2 stack together on all my Earth and Bear skill, giving a +20% damage on Pulverize alone.
This build is very fun to kill everything fast and also are pretty quick to kill Boss. The only downside is you have to be zen with CC.
It’s unique to Druid.
If you were playing Sorc you would only have one viable build and a slight variation on that build using a fire skill.
