Ok I’ve been playing Diablo since 1997. Don’t hate me already. I’m a casual yet dedicated Diablo player. My main usually is a Rogue in Diablo 4. I like to go fast. But I got bored and so I created a Sorc in season 8. And I achieved Perma teleport and I was so amazed; that every season I play sorc NOW. It was very difficult to fully achieve PERMA teleport but it made me feel empowered and I loved it!!! I didn’t do as much damage but it was all good because i was going superfast and it was fun. I see other classes going way faster using evade vs. the sorc. Currently BTW. Blizzard killed the Barb in season 5 and and they continue to kill the Barb. But what they are doing to the the SORC is just EVIL. Mephisto would be proud of them. I will always love playing Diablo, but please please please revert the teleport enchantment back to the way it was. It’s not fair to everyone to take away the identity of an awesome Class like the Sorc.!
Don’t only kill the teleport enchantment. But do kill it and other permanent mobility options.
Save the game from the traversal speed plague.
Mobility should be for tactical placement during combat.
Can you tell me where this information page is? Apparently there are at least 2 pages about season 11 PTR. Information are always scattering as always.
dev a: “look, mekuna and rob are blasting our game and sharing the fun with the community!”
dev b: “let’s nerf the teleport and harlequin crest so that no one can perma teleport.”
dev a: “don’t the players deserve fun for working hard on their builds and playing their way?”
dev b: “barbs and druids can’t enjoy this, can they? we live in a liberal society, no one is inherently entitled to enjoy more than anyone else, and all players are equal subjects.”
long live to liberalism!
Has nothing to do with liberalism. By which I mean, their decision-making has nothing to do with it and, somehow, your entire dialog had nothing to do with liberalism either. 10/10 on misapplying the term.
I agree with the attempt to make changes and Im a sorc main. The sorc was able to negate other stats like movement speed because of the infinity teleport. Now if the changes are overboard we will have to see.
Absolutely overkill. Look at how fast Wolf Druids and Spiritborn move around. Barbarian’s Leap is now going to scale with Attack Speed and can reset its cooldown instantly. Blizzard is willing to let some classes spam mobility skills.
The developer note in the blog honestly reads to me like they misunderstand that Teleport Enchantment is picked as often as it is because a lot of other Enchantments just suck. They do. They have weak effects (really just throw a dart at the board) or unstated cooldowns (like Chain Lightning and Meteor) or hidden caps (like Hydra). Sorcerer players have been clamoring about this since before launch, but instead Blizzard is acting affronted that Teleport Enchantment is “mandatory.” It’s not mandatory; the other options are just bad.
This is part of the problem as well and you are 100% spot on. The enchantments all need to be redone and we should be able to pick 3 of them at least. Every sorc in the game would trade the awful enchantment system for the druid system. Especially now that teleport is rekt.
The only reason I ever play Sorc is for fast farming. I hope it’ll still be somewhat viable, somehow.
Im just wonder why teleport change didnt come earlier. It had been a long time for sorcs to be 10x faster than any other class. Im just hoping the sorcs dmg isnt as bad as it was this season.
I think it was getting so popular and so many ppl were doing it that it was affecting servers and lagging game. They have not come out and said this but they should if it was happening. ITs exactly what happened on evade build being nerfed because of infinity evades leading to infinity calculations and teleport does do dmg and things when it lands so maybe?
Liberalism? You’ll need to understand the words you’re using before you whine about them in a sentence. I imagine that in your mind, liberalism is the go-to excuse to complain about anything that you feel somehow inconveniences your life. Ugh, so beta.
equality, is the foundation of liberalism.
hence the balancing in the game.
Wrong again. That’s approximately 20% of the “foundation” of liberalism. You know, we have AI and such now on Google. You should really try it sometime before you start believing you know things, let alone saying them out loud where people who DO know things can hear you being wrong.
thanks, you’ve answered it. it is part of the value and 20% is a very huge number, so i am correct.
You have bigger issues than I thought if you believe that 20% of something is a very huge number. You may next want to look up the word “correct” in a dictionary, also available online. Frankly, you should spend a LOT of time looking things up at this point.
sounds like you are confessing. good boy.
Uh huh, sure. Your comebacks are even weaker than your vocabulary. Good job at being mediocre, which is understandable, given your fear of equality.
I think they need to decide which direction they want to take the game. If they keep perma teleport then they need to remove the movement speed cap. If my Barb could reach 300 or even 400% movement speed then it would be much more fair.
When the other classes are capped at +100% though, it’s just completely unfair and unbalanced.
If they don’t want this kind of speed at all, then they need to not only remove perma teleport but also stop the rogue and any other class that can achieve similar speeds. Rogue currently has the fastest pit clear even faster than perma teleport Sorc. So fast that it actually hurts my eyes to watch the gameplay.
This is the thing though. Rogue is faster there. Spiritborn has some incredibly fast options. Wolf Druid can get very fast as well. The patch is even making Leap scale with Attack Speed now, so we’ll have to see how quick that ends up.
Their stated reason had more to do with it being a “mandatory” option than about it being too fast (which as you point out it’s not better than Rogue anyway once we factor in enemies), but the problem there is most other Enchantments are just miserable.
And it’s a farce that the Jah rune is now actually better than the class-specific specialization feature. (Making Jah rune worse is not the answer.)
