I’m using the elixir and I’ve been farming for two hours. I haven’t seen a single one. I have 4 60s. I haven’t seen one on ANY character. Fix this broken garbage. It’s a SEASONAL MECHANIC

Headless hunts from the caccoon bosses
Ya but you have to use the elixir and bang the new zone hard. Get in there and gets to bangin and eventually they drop. Eventually a fugitive head will spawn instead of a headless husk.
The drop of fugitive heads started noticeable at Torment 2 with naught elixir. I also feel that if multiple players keep activating the rot buds at the same spot will eventually spawn a fugitive head.

My kid was playing on my account. He has 10 of them but I don’t know where he found them
he must be hacking. I’m convinced they don’t exist or its bugged or broken for some people. I don’t know but this is nuts. If it’s supposed to be like this I’m going to finish the season journey and then wait til next season. Complete trash. Especially when you need them to interact with other seasonal content
Maybe kid pets pet and that increases luck, which we adults never do right. LOL.

My rogue at para 115 and in T2 has already got 5 heads, so there’s no issue there…
Even when I use the elixir that increases chance, I have never gotten a head from Rootholds. Meanwhile, a guildie of mine has ONLY gotten them in Rootholds and never received one in a head-hunt.
Based on past experience, they will likely up the chance for heads and for encountering witch altars in dungeons. It’s just a matter of when.

Also playing Rogue, Barrage, currently Paragon 114. Haven’t seen a single Head so far.
I am currently in Torment 2. Does the probably to get one increase at higher difficulty tiers?
Nope. I’m in t4. As of writing I farmed for a few more hours and managed to find ONE. This absolutely sucks and my desire to play this season is draining RAPIDLY. I haven’t crafted an occult gem yet and I can not WAIT to be done with this season.
I came here specifically to see if I was doing something wrong. Paragon 130 and in T3. I spent almost all of my game time so far farming these headhunt zones and I haven’t seen a single one.
I was finally able to get some but had to play nonstop all day in the headhunt zones. This mechanic is awful and making this season the worst one by a landslide.
I thought the season with the pets and the unique stones was bad. This is trumping that awful mechanic.
It is kind of frustrating because I keep finding crafting Grimoires, including Legendary ones but they are useless without the heads.
I am only in T2, not desperate yet but hunting those heads is the main season mechanic I believe. I was really expecting a better chance to find them.
Not useless. They are unique, so you’ll stop getting them when you’ve learned them all.
They also carry from character to character, so a new Seasonal character will have all the ones you’ve discovered.
You won’t really start seeing heads until T4. Look at the gems - they are super strong.
You’ll also need 50,000 regular gems to craft one. If you’re still getting grimoires, you probably don’t have the raw gems, either.
tl;dr - slow your roll, you’ll get them.

You are right. Useless is not the right word. Frustrating is maybe better. I probably already have all the recipes but not a single ingredient yet.

But you’ll still need the whopping 50k gems. I got a head early, but had to wait… and wait… and wait to get enough gems anyways. I hit T4 long before I had the gems - and then I got a 2nd head. Now need more gems… rofl
So it’s 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.
