Bingo.
These guys are seemingly incapable of releasing a good system. Also, why did they remove yellows and butchered base legendaries so much? Like, they roll with completely trash affixes most of the time. What’s the point?

Right, “infinite rerolls” is the hard cap if you can even call it that, but like you said, gold, mats, and time are the soft cap. I don’t mind Tempering having that same route. Even if it is more expensive than enchanting and still only get one roll per temper (as opposed to enchanting’s 2 choices).

dude I ALWAYS get like Life On hit or Impairment Reduction crap lol
Maybe a part of it has to do with encouraging more Group play? And just player retention in general?
I would rather get more of my Character power from the Skill Tree and regular items having only the ability to be Enchanted on.
Yeah, the only change to the tempering system (outside of removing it entirely) that I can agree with.
And rerolls for tempering is inc lol, easiest change they could of done to improve the game a little bit, just hope they are pretty rare and not dropping constantly, they tend to lean to hard one way or the other
More like laziest. If they are rare enough, that you really only use one on an absolute GG drop, then I think that could be fine, but I’m generally in agreement with Shadout that even if they start off rare, Blizzard is just going to make them less and less rare over time.
If these become common (even as common as Scattered Prisms), it will really screw up the gearing curve and they will need to make some other significant gearing changes to fix it.
Agreed I hope they don’t lean to far the other direction either, and yea it’s the laziest fix also but as this dev team goes probably for the best or it could of came out worse
Well, with the clarification that the scrolls can only be used once per item, I think this is a great addition actually. I want them to add another rare scroll that lets you reroll a temper with the option to keep the current one if you don’t like the roll. That way you can at least try to highroll on the temper if you hit the one you want early.
