I really liked Guild Wars 2 system. You could literally change everything, there were 5 options to change for each facial feature on the face. Body type, height, etc. They also did a much better job with the hair.
I just wonder why so many games make beards look like steel wool glued on the face. They nearly always look bad.
It looks even worse when you got blonde hair, its like they get no shadow or something, its so bad. All the light hair look the same way, so I REALLY hope they fix it. But I dont know if they are even aware of the issue, care, or are able to fix it.
Thatās what bugs me they got like a grey blond paint tool and just brushed it on is what it does indeed look like lol
The only character I bothered spending time on creating was the sorc., all the pre-made faces were ugly.
I simply wish they do add more customization, generally. (faces, hair/etc)
female sorcerer has two decent face presets and one hairstyle (the long one)
male sorcerer however, i didenāt like a single one of them
For 2023 it is pathetic tbh. But I am wondering if they are saving the good customizations for $$shop.
I think the reasoning behind such little character customization and what others have already mentioned, its most likely because they plan on selling the āmore options to look differentā.
most important they alowed us to cover our heroes with shift
Same, any of the light colors look terrible. Blonde, white, grey, etc. Those really need to get fixed or we are left with dark or the copper red is ok.
In addition to fixing hair color, more styles would be great.
The faces, bodies, and accessory options though I thought were pretty great and that I could make nearly anything I wanted within the range the artists envisioned for the current game. I can make a smoky attractive sorc, cute rogue, attractive men, etc. Or I can make them demon possessed, vampires, etc.
I tried that. I could only change makeup and tats. I did not see an option to change hair.
Eh, no. I really donāt think so. It is just a really bad texture issue and it is not just blonde. I canāt get good grey or even light brown. No white hair either. It just looks bad.
That is my take on it as well.
That is just outright untrue. My sorc and rogue both look attractive and they even have revealing armor options. I mean maybe it is not your exact preference, but they are within what is usually considered attractive.
Pretty sure more hairstyles will be coming in the battlepass type system.
As I think back, you are probably right. Hair should be an option.
Yep, I tried to make my female barb tanned but you go from looking Indian to suddenly green?? So I settled on the darker of the 2 freckled skins.
Also, the faces seem to have a different colour and texture than the body. There is an almost-tanned body colour, then the face looks like 1-tone war paint???
Anyways, I was annoyed until realizing that perhaps this is extra cosmetic content for seasonal passes coming down the line. (Especially the lacking hairstyles)
I feel like a robust character creation tool should be super low on the TODO list, if at all.
You wonāt be looking at characters at all of the game isnāt worth playing
I donāt know if you āMVPā folks have any way to deliver more direct feedback but I sure hope you do if you are able XD Save us blondes!
Yeah I have no idea what that is about!!! I mean, maybe so someone can make an orc? Maybe it works on a witch doctor style sorc using the green āpoisonā hair tip option? The green skin just looks odd unless I suppose it was done right and someone imagined the right char backstory to go with it.
I did not see a ātanā option either.
I can try! I can talk to the Community Managers, but not the Devs. I also donāt know if they consider hair color critical right now compared to game stability and major bugs. I am stubborn though and want the hair fixed so even if they donāt do it in the near term, I will likely keep bringing it up. If they want to make cosmetics a selling point, then they need to let us have decent hair colors and styles to go with them.
and why no ugly faces scars missed limbs i wana make bad azz mofo
This is actually a good point. I wanted a more scarred barbarian.
They donāt have blind in one eye, or both either. I was actually kind of surprised to see those options missing given the occupations of the characters. There are some sort of scared face options for the rogue at least, but I did not look that closely at the barb. I donāt think sorc has any scar options do they?
Funny thing is, in Lost Ark, there is a green skin option, and a facepaint option that gives your character orc tusks. At least make it more obvious haha. There are no sliders for any parameter which makes it slightly challenging, though we hear what John said about having fixed body types for armor tailoring.
Guess itāll take a bad rep until the passes come out. It would be nice to have a barb with more scars and war paint on their face without having to have all the squiggles and bored school desk doodles on the body.
