I don’t know if this is a known bug or what but yesterday and today when I open certain caches that contain gear, I see it all drop and then begin to pick up, get maybe 3 pieces and the rest disappears. It’s not in my chest, not in inventory. So, I’m forced to create more characters to get the gear you originally wanted to drop but somehow broke in the process. Your ptr is horrible. If this is any indication of the programming skills you people have, I have absolutely no hope for this game. Oh just found out from another player why…there’s zillions of pieces of loot on the ground from everyone so all the gear is disappearing as you open it.

Sorry turns out it’s not actually a “bug” but rather the programming staff didn’t think about how people would create hundreds of alts to get the gear and material they need and since you only have so much room, it all drops on the ground. That is creating the issue.
This happens when people drop or leave too many items on the ground. If you run into a group who leaves their stuff on the ground for more than 2-3 runs leave before they cost you a Mythic drop.
Who knows what it is… I wish we knew more about the technical limitations. Being forthright about that stuff is actually endearing. Ofc if it is a skill issue - and not an engine or server constraint for example - I guess they’d better not say a thing. 
D’oh. That settles it then. Oh well.

it started from day one in Warcraft 1 1994, Blizzard games have always had a “population” limit in every map or environment, whether in Warcraft, Starcraft, or Diablo series.
these games have to be built around the finite resources of your computer.
Uh, no. It has happened with one bag, over and over, for me (with nothing else on the ground).
Is this on live or PTR?
This happened to me on PTR when I opened one of the unique caches.
