Other great evils besides Andarial and Duriel
But my guess is that is what the expansions are for. Cannot wait!

Inarius died the way he did. I was excited to see another one of the notable figures finally pop up in a Diablo game but he… did nothing and then just dies? So stupid.
Also, Andariel and Duriel randomly popping up, saying absolutely nothing, losing in battle and then literally fading into oblivion was a terrible way of handling their reintroductions.
Hopefully seasonal stories & expansions are better. Some great moments and characters though for sure.

Im on the fence with how they were introduced in D4. On one side, the mystery and not building them up as edgelord Saturday morning cartoon villians ruins the ominous tone. On the other hand, they are important figures, im surprised they were forgotten as fast as they were introduced, not getting the fanservice they deserved.
Either we will be seeing them again, and its not over for them (i dont think we have seen the last of them imho), or Blizzard really effed that up for us.
Im guessing each expansion will have its own prime evil end boss with the lesser ones being act bosses spread across them. Example:
- expansion 1: Mephisto end boss
- expansion 2: Baal end boss
- expansion 3: Diablo end boss
Its been confirmed that all the evils will be making a return at some point in D4.

didn’t even feel like a full story at all. maybe just chapter 1. but i guess they really left that cliffhanger to sell dlc’s

I actually really enjoyed the ending and the final stretch. The pacing felt perfect to me, with a proper build up, going from Caldeum with the blood rain, the knights, then hell (but not as tedious as in D3), some flashback and drama to an enjoyable final boss and epilogue.
Hell had a lot of minibosses and bosses, and it’s pretty refreshing to have a slightly different focus instead of the same prime evil thing we’ve done a million times. That would’ve felt so freakin cliché and underwhelming for the main story. We’ll probably see it in the expansions, and that would feel appropriate and a nice escalation.

The whole point for me is to see all 3 of them in HD next gen graphics, I felt pissed off of Diablo design in D3
The story in this game is a solid 3/10 for me. The game play itself is fantastic, and I love that the artwork is dark and gritty again. But the story is just… not there. I really, really wanted Lilith to be strong and compelling, but this is just a posh child’s tantrum gone on for 4 acts.
