I would like to suggest an option to disable Quest Tracking completely on the minimap.
Maybe it’s just me, but I have a really hard time enjoying the world when there’s always something shiny on the minimap. I feel like just running towards the yellow mark and not exploring and finding stuff…
I have a better time when no quest is tracked, but as soon as I come close to a quest objective, the markers appear by themselves (also the side quest markers and yellow and blue circles).
I like having them on the big map, but when I am in-game, I want to focus on the world and finding stuff by myself. Like in D2, when quests were like “Yeah there’s a cemetery somewhere, go find it and kill the crazy lady there!” with no markers at all…
Is it just me or does anybody else feel the same?

I’m a president of masochist club and even for me your suggestion is extreme like hell. What’s wrong with you?
If the way from point A to point B is 10 meters do you just run in circles for 10 miles because you hate doing things the easy way?
What in the everliving hell is this crap?!
Hahaha no, as I mentioned you’d still have them on the big map, and Quest related stuff is already highlighted on the screen itself, so there would be no need to highlight them on the minimap.
So you could look at the big map to get the general direction and look in game, instead of just following an arrow. I think the world is too beautiful and I catch myself not looking at it, because I am just following the arrow…
As I just played another half an hour, I guess you could just add the option to hide the minimap completely
And yeah, Diablo 4 is probably a lot bigger (and open world), but look at games like the Soulsborne games, there is no map at all…
I just like discovering the world by myself, but then the first thing I did in Skyrim was disable the compass, so who knows, maybe it’s just me
And lastly I would like to say that I like the game very much!
I don’t really get it, but I wouldn’t mind it being an option for those that want it. Kinda doubt it will be though, seems unlikely there are many people who would want it.
