Disable HQ Textures for preload

Is there a way to disable HD Textures for preload? My laptop can’t handle this stuff anyway. For beta it saved me ~50% of space on ssd.

It should give you the option.

You can disable the download the first time you download the game. It makes you customize which components to download: the base game and the high-res textures.

I downloaded it anyways, I dont want to reinstall the game if later I missed something from HD on grahpic. better just download the full version, unless ur hd/ssd dont have the space.

I remember seeing this option before. But it’s not there for me for the release pre-install. Tried restarting Bnet and rebooting PC, still not seeing this option to disable hq textures.

No point installing 4k/ultra pack on a 1080p laptop imo- plus you save around 40GB.

There is a gear icon that you can access once it starts I think. I don’t see it in the launcher yet, and I’m not starting mine for a bit.

Anyway, you click the gear, go to modify install and the option to change the res packs is there.

For me previously (for betas) the option was right away when you chose installation folder etc.

But now for pre-download of the 1.0 the option was there, but on the second page: once I aceppted the installation folder, before the actual download has started.

That’s funny, I don’t have enough space to get to the second page and disable HQ textures

After you select the installation folder, before you hit the final install button, there is a checkbox you can uncheck. If you already started downloading, then you missed it.

You can change it after the fact though. By using the gear icon.

Thanks, I had to delete Diablo III

It’s on the second screen. Click continue on the first screen, then on the second screen there is an option for turning off the high res textures.

TBH all downloads from game launchers should give options of WHAT you want.

no reason in todays world to force every person to dl 6 languages & optional graphics most ppl can’t run.

If someone wnats them later? they could download then.

You can modify install at any point to add it or remove it.

(Unrelated…anyone knows if is there a point to 4k pack for 1080p ppl? How about for 1440p ppl?)
