Disable cross platform play doesnt work in settings?

I have disabled by unchecking the cross platform play in character screen settings. When I log in and I get a message saying You have cross network play enabled and may encounter players on other platforms, yet my options still say cross platform is unchecked.
This is confusing to me. I have restarted the battle net and game yet it still says enabled.

this is driving me crazy as well. I have enabled and disabled these options so many times with the same message when I log in.

Just need to know if I’m missing a setting, is the message bugged, or we just getting trolled.

I realize it’s not a huge issue, but it’s a bit confusing.

Confirmed as an existing problem, disabled cross platform play yesterday and played for several hours without having to deal with seeing others or them taking my mobs. Only for it this morning to log me in even though cross platform play is disabled, saying that cross platform is enabled. I would like to continue playing seeing as few people as possible, not have to compete for enjoyment in my playtime.

Mine is doing the same thing. And I’m having latency/rubberbanding issues. Disabling this is one of the suggested fixes, but I don’t know if it’s off or not.

+1, same situation don’t want to use the cross play utility, would like it to be completely disabled

They’re not “your mobs” lol. Such entitlement.

Same here. Log in “you have cross network play enabled”. Exit to the character screen, ensure both cross network options are unchecked. Recheck both, uncheck both again. Log back in “you have cross network play enabled”.

Can understand small problems like this, Blizz being the small indie company it is.

This is still an issue, having same problem. Lag and rubber banding has been getting exponentially worse over past few days.

I am having the same issue. It is rubber banding so bad I have died three times without even being able to move… This is very frustrating. I have the option disabled yet it says I am playing cross platform. :unamused:

I’m a pc player, I disabled it, it says enabled but it when a fellow pc player sent me an invite they couldn’t because it said cross play disabled. It’s broken for sure.

PC player here and I too cannot disable the cross play functionality. Although both the cross-play and cross-communication boxes are unchecked, I still get the message that I have it enabled upon logging in.

The exact same thing happens to me, and with brutal fps drops, does anyone know if there is a solution?

I have the same problem with latency and the game doesn’t work properly.
Have you solved the problem?

Yes still same problem. probably blizzard just want us kids to “play with one another” even if we don’t want to.

It requires to say something more that “same here” but that’s all i’ve got to say.

I am also experiencing this problem. My game crashes frequently (about twice an hour) and I read online that disabling cross-play may help. Well, no luck there. Despite unchecking both boxes, I’m still greeted on login with the cross-play enabled message and I’m still crashing all the time. Lost count of how many nightmare dungeons I’ve lost to crashing.

It definitely works, the message persists but I can tell the difference with it off, less lag.

Got about 100 hours and not one crash… Definitely an issue on your PC
