First, I know that the Berserk Ripping aspect is not active right now. But, I have been testing bleed effects that are based on direct hit damage, meaning specifically the 2h Sword Expertise. The passive states that 20% of direct damage is inflicted as bleed damage. What I noticed however is that this does not trigger properly of crit hits. Whether you hit normally or crit, the bleed effect is always the same.
This really sucks. I was hoping on making a HotA bleed barb, with that passive and Berserk ripping aspect, and the Gushing Wounds key passive. In the hopes that crit would be considered twice.
If my base dmg is 100, and I crit for 400, and then proc a 80% bleed of of that, that should be a dot of 320 dmg per 5 sec, and then the dot should have another chance to crit for another 400%.
To put it simply in another way, if I have a passive that deals 20% dmg of direct damage as bleed, then if I hit for 100, then the bleed should be 20dmg per 5 sec, If I crit for 300 then the bleed should be 60dmg per 5 serc, not 20.
This would be a cool mechanic and I’m really disappointed it doesn’t work properly.
