Difficulty is too easy

Why does Adventurer difficulty say Enemies are easy to defeat, and then the next difficulty enemies are apparently more challenging.
I mean, I’ve been playing on Veteran the whole time and nearly every enemy just gets one shot? Why is this not the base difficulty instead? Hell, even if this was the base it’d be too easy.

Kinda wish this game had the d3 difficulty system where I could just bump it up to where I was comfortable. But you know, revamped so there wasn’t 20 difficulties.

Modern gaming and modern Blizzard really. Good old Blizz North would just throw the horde of enemies slapping you if you are built wrongly or head in too deep at too low level

Yeah I felt the monsters were too easy also and their needed to be 5 times the amount of monsters on screen in every monster pack. Too many areas with no monsters or elites at all. Then when you do find a monster pack it was an easy one shot while playing running simulation to the next pack of monsters. /Bored

Wait until you fight certain dungeon bosses and then report back. I guarantee you haven’t fought one yet, lol

this.
the game itself feels easy for me too. monster packs too small, except for special encounters, those are better.
but when you reach a dungeon boss, pff. hard times. I had to exit the dungeon once because it was too hard for me :frowning:

Maybe, I’m level 15 so far. By now I feel the difficulty should have gone up.

There are 100 levels. If the beginning was tedious/difficult then people would bail on this game in a heartbeat. Fight the den mother and then come back and say the game is too easy lol.

It goes both ways, if everything is 1 shot until the end game it will feel very underwhelming.
If you want want 1 shot, play on the first difficulty. Why should both difficulties be a one shot?

I’m not sure. I think some builds may be overturned in the early game, but for the most part I haven’t been 1-shotting packs unless I used HOTA or reave. Is the sorceress and rogue capable of 1-shotting everything with builders even around the 15-20 range?

Try playing barbarbian.

I’m in the same boat. It feels like Lost Ark where the mobs are just way too easy. I’m melting everything (including elites) without any challenge and it’s just super boring. Bosses are a bit more challenging but I still haven’t died a single time. (and yes, I’m on world tier 2)

I mean… it’s the very beginning of the game, what did you expect? There will be more difficulty more than likely later in the game and probably other levels of difficulty.

I agree, but nearly 15+ levels of 1 shotting everything is just silly, it should have gotten harder than that by now.

Still don’t feel it’s a good judge of difficulty, we’re just too early in the game… my hope is it will have plenty of difficulty and/or settings to make it more difficult by the time late game comes.

i was complaining about the same thing but different… It’s not the difficulty but the time to kill with the difficulty. it seems like the way to make the game longer was to add more health.

It is way too easy. I just got done replaying diablo 2 res, and this is much much easier. Little to no fear of death minus some big boss attacks. Barb is the only one with any challenge early on. Whirlwind damage is pretty poor early on. Chain lightning and rogues flurry laugh at whirlwind.

Been playing Rogue so here are my thoughts:

1: Ranged build definitely makes me kill things fast without taking much damage. It’s a good thing.
2: Special enemies surrounded by increased health enemies do provide a bit of challenge.
3: I ran into Butcher inside a dungeon and he ate my backside. Then I died again at the boss of the dungeon because of the adds stunning me and the boss hitting me.

So basically the difficulty seems to fluctuate depending on encounters… Kinda how it goes really.

OP, you played a range class, correct? Try the Barbarian next time, please

Afaik you could not increase difficulty willy-nilly in either D2 or D3. In D3RoS initially you had to reach a certain level to unlock expert and master. Torment wasn’t available until you finished the campaign at least once. All of which made D3RoS basically a cakewalk up until Malthael. Early D2 zones I find maybe a little harder than D4 open-world but the D4 dungeon bosses so far have been way harder than anything D2 throws at us early game. Imho.
