Difference between shadow damage and corrupting

Hi,

is it the same? When not, what exactly is corrupting damage?
Is it different? Do aspects, meddling with shadow damage, the same with corrupting damage?

Corrupting damage is just shadow damage over time.
Corrupting damage does profit from bonuses on shadow damage, but shadow damage does not profit from bonuses on corrupting damage.

corrupting = shadow + dot

So corrupting damage can profit from dot bonuses and shadow bonuses, as well as corrupting bonuses directly.

thank you as I was genuinely curious about that myself. So Corrupting affects Blight but not Reap basically?

Correct. Since Blight is dot shadow skill and Reap is instanced shadow damage skill.
