With the upcoming game launch we need to know if more than 16g will be needed or not. In the server slam my 16gb in the minimum configuration could not withstand the pressure.
is that what the slight stutter was? i assumed it was just server stability.
They shared the system specs requirement.
If you have. 4k monitor, you need 32gb of ram.
3k will need around 25gb from my experience.
Etc etc. Check out their sys spec requirements
That didn’t answer the question, there were memory leaks in the betas.
Only info is upto server slam, but it was still present. Not as bad as the betas originally but RAM usage was slowly creeping up started at 24gb used and after 4 hours or so I was sitting at about 35gb used out of my 64
Can you give me the link where you show this? My monitor is old. If the recommendations speak of 16gb, it was to be able to play smoothly.
What resolution were you gaming at?
2k on my 3070ti and 4K on my machine with the 4080 both had the same issue over time
I have a 4K monitor and I was using between 9 and 10 GB of RAM. Most settings are on High.
Ultra vs High is not that visually different, but the resource differences are dramatic. Blizzard recommendations are for Ultra settings.
Damn I didn’t even notice. I played for hours and hours without logging out during the betas and slam. I only have 32GB RAM and was playing @2k res. Guess I’ll have to keep an eye on that. Crazy I didn’t notice any performance issues.
Edit: And I was using ultra settings.
It could also be Diablo 4 sees how much system memory you have and chooses to utilize it.
But a game with notorious memory leaks is escape from tarkov and it behaves the same way
Only exception is tarkovs memory leaks can be huge after an hour or two. D4 s seems to slowly build over the course of several hours
So it’s kind of a non factor if you have 64gb lol
5950x, 3080ti, 64GB DDR4 3600MHz and I still had stuttering issues as well as complete freezing of my 2nd and 3rd monitors. No other game does this.
Remember when blizzard polish was a thing and memory leaks were never even mentioned together with blizzard games? Yeah those were the days…
Are you on Ultra settings? My buddy has a 3090 and he never used more than about 15% on max settings.
Tried ultra, high and medium. Additional monitors are always frozen no matter the settings.
I’m playing on minimal settings and streaming with OBS on twitch. And OBS crashes every time after 3 hours of gameplay.
That’s weird. I have a 6750xt, 12 GB of ram, and a i5-4430.
I ran 4K, Mostly High settings, and got 60-75 fps. I also have a second monitor that’s 1440p.
I froze twice while playing. But then after my last settings adjustments it didn’t happen again.
Utilization
GPU - 98%
RAM - 9.5 GB
CPU - 70-80% (100% in town)
I was also running voicemeter banana which takes 9% CPU for me. Not going to have that open in the future.
4090 triple monitors SAMSUNG Odyssey G7 Series 32-Inch WQHD (2560x1440) 240hz, 13900k 5.8ghz all core OC, ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI
I also have a steamdeck, OBS and wavelink running as well as a GoXLR.
Server slam I played over 30 hours. Never crashed, zero issues, good frames, max settings, heat was minimal.
My wife has the same spec pc, she only played 20 hours, but had zero issues.
That gaming setup…
I’m sitting with a 9700k @5Ghz, a 3080 with 32GB system RAM and only one monitor @2560x1440 with max settings. I also never saw any crashes or major issues. Mainly stayed above my monitor’s refresh rate of 165hz.
I guess we’re some of the lucky ones?
