Did you also stop picking up items?

What kind of game is it that showers us with legendary and unique items,
and I don’t even bother picking them up anymore?

In the future will it be called the D4 syndrome?

Speaking for myself, I pick up most everything, but I definitely think most people pick up all legendaries and uniques. They might leave yellow and blues behind.

yep, the game is trivial, nothing to work towards when you hit endgame. Nothing matters.

I pick up yellows, look at them for a second and throw them back on the ground if they’re not amazing, yeah. The game gives enough broken down materials anyways. I like how I try to consciously not fill up my inventory but it happens anyways because of all of the reward garbage that just gets popped straight into your bag.

That stuff stays on the ground for so long, sometimes I do a play session and come back to an area after a Helltide comes back or something and just randomly run across a big pile of rares I threw on the ground earlier lol.

Its part of the reason I stop playing my level 100s… the loot game is trash.

I just salvage everything without looking at it. Aint nobody got time for D4 loot.

We just need loot filters, at least simple ones (like slot, rarity, item power)

I’d love PoE-style loot filters but I doubt Blizzard would implement something that intricate.

Since the yellows are highest level from bosses and world bosses, I only look at those. Some characters are full bis so they pick up nothing with many copies of their affixes maxed out in the stash just in case. Have plenty of gold and mats. No reason to clutter up inventory just leveling glyphs. On new alts, I just get gear from world bosses till 75 or so when they can farm side bosses and Duriel. No need to get gear from NMD that is way lower stats.

Get aspect library from Blood Harvest main event. After 3-4 of those there’s always 1-2 well-rolled aspects I can save. Best place to get those hard to find aspects, imo.

i pick up the items hence why i dont belong to the people lacking forgotten souls

I stoped do that too. The amout of rare items in nmd 70+ is insane. My progress is stoped, but i would like to play the game instead reading tons of affixex. This game desperatly need loot filter. Even the simple one. Item power, desire affixex and minimum amount of them in item 2/4, 3/4, 4/4.

THIS season, I leave a lot of stuff lying there. Levelling is so fast (and we have so many loot pinatas) that it doesn’t take my characters long to get their stuffs. Especially with all the higher item powers dropping from summon bosses and world bosses. At this point, I usually know the only item-types my characters need and I just pick those up.

-3 characters to 100 this season and kind of working on a 4th just to keep some motivation since it’s all over so quickly.

I only pick up legendaries (to check for maxed out aspects) and uniques. That alone wastes too much of my time, I’d get no where if I was sorting through yellows as well.

I still pick them up. I check the legendary aspect if I drop a legendary. Extract if it’s worth keeping, don’t bother looking at stats anymore. They let Ralph loose with a box of crayons for affixes, so :man_shrugging:t2: straight to the black smith trash can in the sky.

I pick them up and use the salvage all button at the blacksmith. I rarely reed items anymore. I do this with 925 items but thats it.

I havent found a single item with 4/4 BIS stats AND max rolls yet. My crossbow is the only item with 4 bis stats.

I recognized while reading thousands of items a day that theres no upgrade since weeks. When i have good gear i stop reading now. As i only play seasons i dont care about having the best stuff at all price VS a better and non stressfull gaming experience. Beginning of next year all stuff is gone to the eternal realm where it wont ever use it again.

If it would be effective i would only equip unique items and kill the bosses for it so i dont have to read this crazy amount of items.

Trying to make up my mind about this season, don’t know if you are too. For me, it all feels TOO easy and quick EXCEPT if you choose to max paragon glyphs. I only play my level 100 characters to either level glyphs or do the tedious Duriel mat farming game.

I’ve been doing more of ignoring yellows on the ground. The loot flood was anoying me for a while but I got pretty fast at sorting/vendoring/salvaging them so it wasn’t a big deal but now I’m kind of getting fed up with that too. Inventory just fills up too fast too often. There is WAY too much loot dropping especially in blood harvests. It’s one of my pet peeves with D4 and D3 - just a tedious task endlessly looking through it all.

D2 also had a crapton of loot dropping (and badly needed a loot filter cause the ground could only display so many items) but at least you could safely ignore like 90%+ of it because you knew it would never matter in endgame.

Yes. This. Thats so true.

i tend to pick them up to look at the legendary drops to see if has a perfect aspect roll and if it doesnt i just drop it like its hot.

the only time i still pick up stuff is the duriel fight and world bosses to see if that 925 gear is better than the 925 gear i have, otherwise a nm100 sigil, i dont pick up anything. At the end of the dungeon i still get 600 item power sacreds… i link it in group chat and everyone laughs because they too get the 600 item power sacreds from the same nm100 sigil…

loot is not rewarding even the duriel fight where you would be super happy to see 2 unique hats or swords drop the game crushes your dreams and makes the 2 hats the sucky nobshiner, i mean godslayer helms or the 2 frosty loser swords…

really wish we could have a auto sale/smash pet that just loots everything and insta smashs it

I went one step further and stopped playing this poor excuse for an ARPG altogether.

After spendig quite a few runs to Duriel, my loot management looks as follows:

  • I have all my gear ilvl925 with all 4 desired stats. There is just a small space left for higher rolls of these stats
  • I have all relevant aspects already ripped of from legendaries, each twice with max rolls. Therefore no need (and no space in chest) for more
  • I pick all loot from open world, NMDs, Varshans, Grigoires and without looking at it I sell it. Gold matters.
  • Only items I look at are those from Duriel runs, as they are always ilvl925. From all the items dropped by Duriel, I picked all, but immediatelly sell helms, pants, amulets. I use uniques in their places.
  • only items I take care about are weapons to find 1% better stats…
