Did they majorly increase storage space?

Just curious to learn whether I should give the game another chance. What really broke it for me was the tiny storage space. Totally ruined everything for me. No space for anything. I literally had to delete characters and their inventories after the second season I participated in.

Second thing that really killed it for me was immortal realm being pointless, as if all that mattered where the current character in the current season. I heard many crazy replies from players that thought it was even totally fine and good to just delete characters after a season… this I will never get used to. In every game I played I always love my characters forever, I want to retain them and never get rid of them. And also I would like them to matter, not just on a personal level but also in terms of gameplay, actually benefiting my account overall.

Did these things change at all? Do we have SIGNIFICANTLY more storage space now? Does immortal actually serve a purpose? Or is it still all about them seasons?

But i never understood why people kept so many things?

Some people like to hold onto junk.

Trying out many different kinds of builds. There’s a LOT of different builds and legendaries and builds and modifiers. Trying them out, and working with the loot you get requires a lot of space. Can’t do that if I have to deconstruct the stuff. Same thing with the aspects too. it all takes space and we have so little.

Ok, so you confirm that nothing really changed. Too bad. But thanks.

Well, they improved a lot the powers ( you now save the highest roll in your codex after salvaging the power )

So you dont have to keep a single item for their powers in your bank like previously , you can also put back any powers on any items at any time

Thats a major improvment

As for items, With the new tempering mechanic , you will brick a few items, if u are looking for perfection, so there would’nt be need to save those

Well, we’ll see what happens, when i reach WT4, should be today, but i’m not even sure, I’ll be using the storage much =o

Aspects are no longer in inventory and are part of the Codex. When you scrap a legendary it adds to the codex or upgrades that codex entry if the roll was higher. This means you don’t need to store legendary items any longer for their aspects, as grinding them up means you can use that aspect on your gear as much as you’d like.

I have nothing in my storage

They made storage useless until you find 925 gear and then only mildly so

Sounds like there’s been SOME improvement of SOME significance. Sigh, I guess I could give the old girl a whirl. I FEEL like maybe I could play. I just don’t want to be disappointed. But I guess you don’t drink milk without getting some from the fridge first.

Well, all in all, it will be always in your hands

Depending on the last time you played, every season powers/aspects/uniques being added on , added some variety for sure + Now tempering

Its not like its costing you anything to try it

I am a hoarder unfortunately. Always like to have at least 2 of each unique. No idea why lol

You have the same number of stash tabs for now because they still appear to have not “figured out” the underlying problem with the game’s coding, but in practice you have wayyyyy more stash space because Legendary Aspects now go straight into the codex permanently when you salvage, meaning no hoarding gear with good aspects or the aspects themselves. It took me down from all my tabs full of crap, to using 1 tab for Uniques and another for potions and other consumables. You can now easily use a tab per class to hold a few builds worth of gear. :v:

Are we ever going to get an update to the coding architecture problem that was invoked near the launch of the game as the reason why we couldn’t have more stash tabs? We were told it would probably be fixed by S3 or so, but that has come and gone and now it’s a point the team won’t even mention.

You dont need that much storage anymore, the aspects are stored in the codex, not in the stash. Plus, you will mostly store augmented legendary items later.

It was such a good feeling yesterday when I just mass scrapped an entire inventory worth of legendaries that I had been saving out of habit, and watching the codex update. Thanks for these changes.

I don’t use storage anymore.

I used storage for gems and aspects but those are now in inventory.
Perhaps at the end i will use it for some legendary items.

if you have 2 of the same… is it really unique? heh

This seasons’ mechanic is Helltides.

Prove me wrong.

In addition to the Codex Affixes now just being “enchants” instead of items, Gems no longer take up space in your inventory. They are currency fragments you can craft gems with at the Jeweler.

They reduced the number of items that drop, and the ones that do are easier to compare and ditch. They are now mostly just item bases that you can modify with the following:

  • Enchant to change one of the base affixes
  • Temper to add another affix of your choice depending on item type
  • Codex modification to add a Legendary affix
  • Upgrade item at Blacksmith or Jeweler (I think we can still do that right?)
  • Gems for gem slots

You don’t need to keep the bases really because enough of them drop you don’t have to hoard them. No more saving legendary items to store affixes for alts.

It is way better feeling so far this Season. I get plenty stuff, but no more worries about “will I need this later”. Much easier to just mark as junk and salvage all junk.

I am only level 29 so far but enjoying this much more than most seasons.

This. ^^^^

Only problem is I need to go through my eternal stash and clear out all the legacy items cluttering my stash. Lol

Instead of massively increasing storage I think they massively reduced our need for it. That kind of works. Aspects being gone is a huge deal. But I think we also just get and need to store less items now in general. So overall a very large improvement.

Random observation: looks like they ditched all the herbs too (and possibly many other mats?) and now every plant drops the same thing. Ehhh
