Did anyone use headphones + Dolby Atmos on PC?

Just wondering if anyone tested Atmos in the D4 beta with headphones? Any thoughts?

I did, sounded really good on my Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro’s.

I didnt use headphones but did use my home surround and it sounded awesome.

If youve got a decent set, Im sure it will sound good.

For Atmos, I know how to enable spatial sound in Windows, but does anyone know if in the Diablo 4 game settings, under Audio, do you select 2-channel, or the 5.1 or 7.1 as the audio setup?

Initially I picked stereo, but now I think that may be wrong. I think the game needs me to pick 7.1 to output to Windows the Atmos layers for my Dolby Access app / codec to then virtualize the extra channels ultimately into my stereo headphones.

Any links or info is appreciated.

Leave it as stereo. Dolby Atmos will upmix to multi-channel for your headphones. But it doesn’t hurt to try the other options, they might sound better to you compared to stereo.

arctis pro using atmos in every game… in d4 its awesome (like in every other game)

if you try to use atmos in every game ALWAYS put surround… if you leave it on stereo how atmos will know where is the sound come from? this is why u use surround 5.1 7.1 so atmos can upscale your stereo headphone virtually… if you leave it on stereo it will sound different (this can trick ppl) but it wont be surround
