I don’t like that you can only use 6 skills, that really hinders build diversity.
I think 6 is fine if you are being serious, the ability to change how they function in fun ways is severly lacking.
I played Last Epoch last weekend for the first time, and they are doing it well along with their crafting. Would love to see D4 follow or and at least gain some inspiration from LE.

Definitely you are missing something here. Judging itemization for the first 25 levels out of … 100 with no end game items to be found in-game yet, clearly you are missing something here.

I mean, I also like WoW, but this is Diablo and many other RPGs are using this … 4-6 kills system.
Can you give some good examples? Your critiques are really vague… what more depth do you want exactly?
