Whenever I play diablo 4, my Blue Yeti Mic would get disconnected from discord. I could hear other people in the discord but my mic just stop working after 5-20 minutes. It doesn’t have any problems when I play other games.
The only fix i have was to connect a pair of random broken headsets that has a mic then I’d have to connect earphones to the headset and use the mic on that.
As soon as i exit diablo, 2-3 minutes later no issues with my blue yeti mic.
I also messed with the voice options in Diablo 4 and the problem still happened.
All drives and OS was updated and i even uninstalled VPN programs.
Specs for my PC are:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
Intel(R) Core™ i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz

Same problem here. Blue Yeti mic
I experienced this last night with my Blue Yeti Mic. It didn’t happen at all during the Closed Beta last weekend.
Pc Specs are:
Ryzen 9 5950x
Asus ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX™ 3080 Ti OC Edition
64GB DDR4 Ram
Windows 11 Pro
Main Monitor: 2560x1440, 165hz
Blue Yeti Mic
Drivers are all up to date
I tried plugging in the Mic on my Hyper X Cloud II headset thinking maybe it was an isolated issue with the Yeti. I closed and restarted discord but neither mic would work until I restarted my PC.
No fix, i tried everything and ended up screwing up my sound in general on my PC so i had to re-install my drives lol but the issue is still there.

I haven’t had the problem happen again yet.
What I did:
Disable the microphone in battle.net launcher. Click on the cog wheel next to the Diablo ‘Play’ button. Go to Voice Chat, Microphone, select None (Disable Microphone).
You can also try disabling Nvidia Broadcast in LG G Hub. I was concerned about the posts regarding the 3080ti cards after experiencing weird frame stuttering yesterday, so wanted to lessen the strain on it. Although in saying that, in theory, a 3080ti should be able to handle both tasks with ease.
I haven’t experienced the issue again yet. Fingers crossed. Ideally I want to turn on the Nvidia Broadcast again, so I will test that next.
Hope this helps!
i tried it out and it still stops working after like… 15-20 minutes.
Check to see if voice chat is enabled some how. ESC > Options > Sound > Voice Chat. This would be the only thing I can think of, that would grab the mic from Discord and then give it back when you leave D4, since Voice Chat you can control what mic and speakers it uses. Even if it’s not enabled, I’d still switch the mic to “No Device”, just to be safe.
This happens to me not just on Discord but also for OBS, too!
Mic model is:
Corsair HS80 Wireless
System specs:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
Driver Version 531.29
Intel Core i9-99000k CPU @3.60GHz
31.89 GB RAM
Main Monitor: 2560x1440, 144Hz
Rejoining the call, restarting Discord/OBS, restarting game, restarting entire PC, turning off additional audio devices for PC, going from Fullscreen (Windowed) mode to Fullscreen, and turning off In-Game VC have only had limited success. The mic on the call in Discord almost always cuts out within about 15 minutes. Sometimes all audio except for the game cuts out entirely.
EDIT:
I am using Nvidia Broadcast, so I might try uninstalling it to see if that works.
FIX (I think…):
I uninstalled Nvidia Broadcast from the Que software for my Corsair headset and just streamed for 2+ hours without any issues other than the usual D4 lag and frame drop!
yeah i tried all kinds of combinations and uninstalls to reinstalls and nothing…
Try uninstalling Nvidia Broadcast if you have it installed. I’ve been streaming and chatting on Discord without issue for 2+ hours now.
Try uninstalling Nvidia Broadcast. I’ve been able to stream and chat on Discord for 2+ hours without any issues now.
ah, i dont have nvidia broadcast
I’m having the same issues. I’m using a Razer Seiren Mini while talking/streaming over Discord. Any other game I have no issues, but about 20-30 mins in D4 and it shuts off my stream and comms over Discord without warning. I have to completely close D4 and restart Discord to get back into the call.
I’m also having this issue with my Corsair Virtuoso Wireless XT headset.
Pressing Ctrl+R on discord (Full Discord reset) helps for about 2 seconds then the mic stops working again. Then after I close the game and reset discord it stays working.
Once I launch Diablo again, it works for 5-20 minutes then it stops working again.
Its not anything to do with d4 or mic its nvidia broadcast
I’m having the same issue with my Blue Yeti X.
I can pinpoint it’s stemming from D4 since I’m not having any issues with any other game/app/chat when I manually reconnect/reboot the mic after turning off D4.
The issue still persist after I’ve already reset all the settings to default options since it seems when I first played I did not have any issues of my mic disconnecting.
What is it about Broadcast is causing it to malfunction when playing D4 specifically?
Update
Seems like turning off “Blue Voice” on the GHub for the has fixed the issue for me. No longer is my mic disconnecting from Discord.
I did not have Nvidia Broadcast to begin with.
