Diablo IV - Season 8 - Some words for Blizzard and the Community

Re: Diablo IV - Season 8 - I hope it’s good!

Hello Blizzard D4 Team and Community!

I am looking forward to the new season, and I sincerely hope Diablo IV - Season 8 is actually BETTER, more fun, challenging and genuinely rewarding… because the repetitive, boring grind that fails to reward players for their time and effort is NOT fun. I hope Blizzard takes that to heart and does the right thing for all players and makes sure players are rewarded for their tedious grind in D4, as we all know many players are not happy running around in limbo doing all of these quests and repetitive runs and end up with zero and time wasted, and that has been a major turn off for many players aside from many other issues like the ongoing bugs, although you have improved a lot Blizzard - and for that we are thankful, the game still needs a lot more improving. I also hope Mercenary Companions get a nice boost in the game, and for Blizzard to allow all players to be able to change from Subo to another companion that joins the player in their ongoing Sanctuary adventures. Not that I dislike Subo, it’s simply having more than one Mercenary companion to choose from, and make them a bit stronger while you’re at it, Blizzard.

Also, please don’t go doing mass nerfs and ruining player progress as you have done before, Blizzard D4 Team. That is not right or appreciated. If anything, balance things out as best as possible - considering D4 has been out almost 2 years now. It’s not rocket science!

Nevertheless, the game needs to feel good and rewarding as you progress - level up, and that makes the grind worth while and a lot more enjoyable for everyone vs wasting time and getting nothing for your efforts in the game, such as super “rare” drops which I understand there needs to be a challenge and I’m all for it and don’t mind the grind when the progress and leveling are fun and rewarding, but not to the point where players are wasting time and are ridiculously under-rewarded as we have seen in the past with no real end game to look forward to other than endless, repetitive pit runs. Mix things up and add some cool and rewarding events to D4 - Season 8! It’s all doable! You can do it, Blizzard!

Mind you, no player should expect everything to be so easy or have it handed to them in Diablo IV, but at the very least I hope Blizzard makes D4 Season 8 and beyond a lot more rewarding, fun and challenging as we level and progress in the game, considering there are only 3 months in every season. If Blizzard does this consistenly and keeps improving, a lot of players will be on and enjoying the new season a lot more than ever before! I know I would!

Hopefully, you (Blizzard D4 Team) will have some cool and fun events lined up for the new season for all D4 players, especially for Max Level Players so there are some worth while and fun end-game content to enjoy, as we enter into D4 - Season 8!

With that said, I’m looking forward to smashing some demons and monsters throughout Sanctuary! Lol  - It looks pretty interesting. I hope it’s good!

Cheers and Happy Gaming All! - JJ - :+1:

If they keep to what they said the outliers will be balanced immediately. There wont be anymore S6 SB or S7 BW all season long.

This is a great thing.

I suspect that s8 is going to have a sharp drop off of players, faster than previous seasons. Just a guess.

First season I’m skipping. The grind has gotten too monotonous for me.

I hear ya, friend.

I know the grind can be awful, but hopefully the new season will be good and have some rewarding fun stuff for us to offset the tedious grind. We can’t judge until we try it. But to each their own.

The only way to know for sure is if we play and experience D4 - Season 8 for ourselves. Cheers!

season 8 is going to be bringing in even stronger sense of power fantasy that none of the prior seasons have been able to achieve in my opinion. I think for that aspect alone is going to attract a lot of players to play the season.

I actually think that’s possible. But I do think it’ll taper off faster than usual. We’ll know soon enough.

Yea, for most it probably won’t last a whole season. I mean that is 3 months long lol. I don’t even think blizzard themselves believe that majority of the players are gonna last 3 whole month playing in a season haha

Lol I’ve never played a full 3 months. Maybe people who only play a couple of hours a week.

haha, I usually last like 1 month or maybe 2 at max. That is because I play with alts and I don’t mind grinding when it is fun. Probably your average seasonal enjoyers

I have the same outlook for S8. It is also the first I will skip and for the same reason. Changes to the battlepass only made that choice even easier. After seeing the roadmap it isn’t looking good for me to play the next few seasons either.

It is more borrowed powers probably delivered in different shape, format and whatnot lol… But blizzard did say that isn’t all of it, hopefully more will present itself as time comes

I’m hopeful for s9. Nightmare dungeons are fun for me and updates to that could be good. Time will tell.

I am also hyped for this, a bit early I know. But I love running dungeons, and I am looking forward to see what they gonna do with NMD to bring it up to par with everything else in the game.

NMD deserves much more love …

Exactly, and they have so much potential.

They do certainly. I always waited for them to announce something with NMDs but sadly for past 7 seasons nothing has been done with it.

That is not to say the stuff we got new , and reworked are not good. I really enjoyed inferno horde for example.

Though I don’t love undercity too much because I am not a huge fan on beating timers it is just not a game mode I enjoy.

most will be done with s8 within the 1st week or 2, just like any other season, thats finishing the season journey, and most will be to busy crying in the forums about s8 to even play it

There hasnt been a tedius grind in D4 since S1.

True, unless your goal is to hit paragon 300 you are 100% correct.

I have yet to hit 300 on any character. Usually by 230 Im done with the season. My eternal characters are at 264. At some point they will get there. But I dont see the point of doing it in a season. If people want to do that grind more power to them. But thats a choice because 300 is not needed to complete a season.
