Hello whomever,
Ive been playing Diablo IV and have been running into some trouble.
As a matter of fact the game crashes every other start with the box asking me ‘what happened’.
My trouble so far lies in the video card and I believe latency. (My character stutters and rubber bands in the towns).
The first problem is my resolution. I can’t change it. It is locked on 1920 x1080. Its blacked out and on fullscreen or windowed it is the same. Also associated with this is the screen lockup I get on the character screen.
I have removed my drivers, uninstalled the device (device manager), and removed and reinstalled GEForce Experience and associated softeware more than a few times now.
My video card is a GEForce GTX 1050 TI. Its just about border line for the game.
(I am jumping to the beta now to go into this).
When I played the beta I was able to put my resolution on 1280 x 720 and the game ran great. Everything was smooth! No sticking screens, no rubber bands, the characters looked great, the npcs looked great. Overall I got excited for the release).
The release comes out and no resolution. It stays locked on 1920 x 1080. As I said I have sticking and rubber banding. Major disappointment.
I have been having blue screens when starting up the game. It mentions a file I am not sure of now. dlvxxxx.sys, its in Windows System32 folder. I can update when I am sure of the file name.
I had trouble with this file a few weeks back and the same thing happened. The restart blue screen appeared. Its a video file I am sure. As I said I will update with the name at a later time.
I had to role my NVidia back past the May patched to say 4 patches ago to get anything to work.
I installed the latest driver for Diable IV figuring it would work and that was when I started to have the bad issues. And with the blue screen restart.
The game would go to “logging into Diablo IV”. Pause, then go to the character screen. The thing is that the character screen locked with no characters and the screen before with the demon door was bleeding through on the lock up.
As I said I discovered a few weeks back and just today that if I remove all software and reinstall NVidia drivers 4 drivers before (whatever the patch number is), and I am able to login and get to my characters and play the game. Trouble now with playing is I stuttered and rubber band in the towns and when another player gets near or enters the area my char is in. That sounds like latency.
I also disabled the NVidia system options in the system menu to try and help but that really did nothing.
I am sure these problems can be fixed if I have the resolution options back. In my case pregame beta, 1280 x 760
Could Blizzard take a look what is going on with my video? This is a pretty major problem.
What happened to my resolution 1280 x 720? It ran fantastic.
Why am I locked on 1920 x 1080? Can it be fixed with my card Geforce GTX 1050 TI?
And why can’t I install the new Nvidia driver that locks up my game on the character screen?
(I have been sending the ‘what happened’ requests/reports about every other startup when the game crashes as well).
Hows about some help!
Thank you for reading.
P.S, Also to mention I am not happy with the platinum system as in Immortal and now D IV.
