S11 blog and patch notes, I hope it will be a good read.
They absolutely gutted the new Selig. It’s literally back to being a useless Mythic. At 25K Fury I only did 10B max with Ramas/Selig combo, and they thought that was overpowered. No, the Seasonal Gimmick is what was making it overpowered.
Was kind of hoping there were a few more system changes coming that didn’t make the PTR. Next season or next expansion, I guess.
After reading the patch notes it feels like I am just gonna be a beta tester for these changes for the whole S11. Then probably in S12 they might be carried or gutted anyway.
Why no towers on launch?
So much for all the ppl telling us it was Dec 9 start because of reliquary in S10. Its Dec 11 at 830 pm so the season basically starts the same time as POE 2 druid launch. S11 start on DEC 11 rekts me so bad. Why wasnt this communicated in early nov??? Why do they want to go head to head with POE 2? Awful decision making.
I’m in this spot that I love the change with towers, but I don’t like that it’s not on launch at all.
Yeah, it’s weird. Are they really that confident?
It’s pretty obvious PoE 2 is just going to steamroll them. At this point you almost start wondering if Blizzard themselves just want to speed-run hammering the last few nails into Diablo 4’s coffin.
Uh, I think the change I look forward to the most, apart from the new unique item for the Necromancer, could be this:
Progression down the Skill tree is now faster, Core Skills get unlocked after spending one skill point and then the next skill group is unlocked after spending two skill points.
This might result in Ultimate and Key Passive skills to be available earlier. Also, more often than once did I put skill points in “unnecessary” early skills, just to be able to access later ones…
Maybe it sounds more interesting than it actually is in the end, but I theoretically like this
The last few seasons I jumped in a few weeks late. Some early bugfixes taken care of, less people in the open world, maybe even an event buff. Works for me, and still does this season, gives me some weeks to spend on PoE2.
Does this mean if I don’t use my Basic I get an extra skill point back later in the tree?
Tower was a big part of why many ppl wanted to play [I dint care] but many did. It doesnt launch with the season start and instead comes early 2026. The hype was already at like 1 or 2 or 3 max and this just killed it to 0. This is going to be the worst season in the history of the game. They are going right up against POE 2 druid thing as well. Its only hours away as S11 starts on 830pm on Dec 11. Hype is 0. Season is cooked already in my view.
Hype was Zero before the chat. It’s negative zero now.

Yeah now I won’t have enough time to min max D4. If it was Dec 9th, that should be enough for me until Dec 11th. Although things really go fast with D4, but Dec 11th evening and Dec 12th PoE is too close.

I never thought it would happen. It’s so beautiful. 10% main stat damage scaling increase. Overall huge increase to our Paragon nodes. Buff to anger management aspect.
If our normal DMG is represented as 100, then the new Barb DMG is this: 100 (baseline DMG) X 1.6 (Paragon nodes being buffed) X 1.1 (main stat damage scaling increase) = 1.76.
So these changes, overall, represent a 76% multiplicative damage buff/increase. Nearly 2x damage for Barbs. HUGE!!!
It’s just beautiful. It’s beautiful. Thank you. You actually balanced us instead of leaving us in dog crap tier.
