dead link. someone forgot to press ‘sync to live blog’

It’s working.

The changes/updates to Sorcerer seem quite boring.

Seems like PTR feedbacks and PTR bug reports weren’t listened
 AGAIN.

So what’s different in this patch notes vs the ones mentioned in the PTR notes? Anyone with a quick summary?

The patch notes cover things like class balance changes, as well as most of what’s in the PTR blog. It’s still extremely redundant how they organize these things.

Adam said S10 is a long Season. What does that mean? Closer to 4 months? Also the S10 Collab wasn’t mentioned. Is it planned as some kind of mid season event? I like such events/IP collabs to start with the seasons and not 2-6 weeks after the start.

I see the overscaling of the “volcanic” dungeon affix didn’t get fixed. Instantly killed so many hardcore players this season. Guess I’m still avoiding those dungeons.

The last two years the season didn’t start until around Jan 22, give or take, with the holiday break pushing the PTR up into early December.

This would be a longer season than either S3 or S6, given both started into October, but with the holidays there isn’t much flexibility here but to make a very long season.

Wow, they nerfed the ever living hell out of Delayed Extinction lol. Glad I got my fun in with Steel Grasp last Season. Down from x500% Damage to x90% - 120% on a 2H. Now, unless either The Third Blade’s 100% CDR actually counts as x100% damage increase AND the Fury Cost overrides DE while keeping DE bonus, GG you just killed the Aspect. Even at x500% on a 2H, I was only hitting for 15,000,000,000 to 25b maxed out every few hits.

Marred Guard and Brawn Over Brains are still garbage as you will get absolutely wrecked. Single-Minded Fury is still terrible.

Do they even play the game? x250% Damage Increase does not cover having Aspect of Earthquakes (x120%) and Encroaching Wrath (x160%) even. Not to mention losing 4 Tempers and 8 Affixes.

Single Minded Fury MIGHT be worth taking if you could just did not benefit from the Affixes or it was 2 of 3 Weapon Slots.

Deafening Chorus got buffed? Every single Barb is going to be running 3 Shouts now with the exception of the Meta DB rocking Ramas on Armor. Basic Builds back at the top of the list also with Hooves capping at 40 Fury Drain, which is easy to overcome.

Alternating Alterations got buffed too? Lol.

Lucky Hit restoring FLAT Resource is terrible, especially when they did not increase the Lucky Hit Chance but lower it lol. When you have a 400 Fury Pool and attacks taking close to 200 Fury, 12 Flat Resource is hotdog water, even when you have GA FoF and like 200% Resource Generation.

My initial thoughts were with S8 being shorter and S10 be stated to last from September till December, that they aimed for S11 to be pushed out in december, too. But I was completly wrong on that.

They also haven’t talked about the S10 IP collab, hopefully it’s bigger than the Beserk collab.

99.9% of the time PTR & Beta are just a hype machine or content preview and not for feedback

It’s a safe bet to say it will be 4 months because if it was 3 it would be right around xmas and most of the team will be on holiday. I’d expect s11 ptr early next year.

If it follows the two previous years expect more like early December. The PTR needs about a month or so of lead time, which could be even higher in S11 with some of the speculated changes.

A PTR launch date after the new year gives a seasonal launch date about the second week of February, making S10 much longer on the front and back end than in either S3 or S6.

Well I hope you’re right but it seems like they slowed down.

Chaos armors look great but temporary so I’m more curious about the S11 stuff than temporary content (again)

As a Sorcerer, I don’t like Charged Bolts, I’ve never liked them in any Diablo game since the beginning of the series, that’s my personal opinion, but, anyway, why is it that practically everything I read about lightning spells or Crackling Energy, among other things, somehow also refers to Charged Bolts specifically? Even if I were a fan of this spell, I think it seems like a bit too much dedication to it.
At this point, wouldn’t a (partial) redesign have been maybe a better solution?

Although a bit off-topic, I personally would have preferred a passive per element that guarantees a little lucky hit chance of burning, chill/freeze and stun (this one even existed for a long time) for each spell in the related family, perhaps adding it to an innate chance already intrinsic to the elements families. Something along the lines of “If poison poisons, then fire may have a chance to burn, frost may chill then freeze, lightning may stun, and so on.”. Perhaps even extending it to a chance of bleeding (or stun depending on the weapon???) for physical damage (even if it’s not a full-fledged element, but to not leave anyone out, you know how it is :grinning:) and Shadow could have a little chance to slow down enemies (to the point of immobilization?) or something like that. A change that would make every element more dynamic and special on their own, before anything else took play and applies to anything that is affected by the elements, you, friends or foes.
But this part is just a rant from my part after years of play

Nah, working as intended.

Bug reports is Moscow false science

Nerf Demon Hunter too op
