Honestly if I absolutely hated the game I sure wouldn’t repurchase the game on steam just to leave a review and then refund my purchase. I’d just chalk it up to a loss, and move onto the next game. Talk about childish.
Well many Steam players are angry to have bought the game on another launcher and now it is on Steam with more features (steam deck support / achievements / hours tracking). They have already spent their money on a launcher they don’t like because they liked the franchise, they made an extra-effort and feel now that devs spit on them (they think that devs knew already 3 months ago that they would release the game on Steam in the end but kept it for themselves so that people double-dip).
But i agree for sure the devs expected it obviously they’re not suprised because it’s just logical.
You can agree or disagree but it’s just obvious how they (steam players) think .
No one really cares about user reviews in these situations cause everyone knows it is disingenuous. These review bombs minimally impact potential consumers.
I strongly disagree, user scores matter.
It’s also been proven it’s the most effective way for a company to change their tactics. Toxic and childish yes, but effective nonetheless.
It’s just man children with a hate on for Blizzard. I’m curious how many of them are really people who just picked it up with the express purpose of leaving a review and then asked for a refund. Which makes it even more dishonest.
Not that any of their efforts will matter. The game made tons of money and is still garnering interest five months post release.
