worst tragedy of Diablo IV is that Diablo Immortal is superior game
I get into DI expecting total cra* but ended playing it for a year and having enormous amount of fun
Yes its is pay to win , yes look like disney version of diablo world … sure
But it is fun to play … genuinely pure fun
Diablo IV ? fun to play it ? at the moment not so much
Feel free to disagree … prove me wrong

i was there for a year … get enough of it …
Im not saying that DI is worth playing it for 5 years straight … just saying it was more fun playing it then this “CC simulator”
Also POE is always there
I will wait here and give it a shot … Diablo 3 was also awful on initial launch but at one point was very good … I hope that will be case here … base game have potential … just need heavy adjusting

I actually agree with this.
I won’t touch immortal because of the monetization, but having played it in multiple BETAs, it is essentially a more fleshed out version of D4.
Group finder, dungeon content designed for groups, far more social, more endgame activities. Even the dungeons had a somewhat unique feel to each of em.

Immortal isn’t a game, it’s a slot machine simulator where the only winner is the house.
Better off playing poker or sports betting. At least with those you might get some money back.

If you prefer to play immortal then go play it. My friends and I are all enjoying d4 so we will play this.

Yes, worse graphics than D3, but with the same engine and assets, all while at 30 FPS. Much superiority.

never played D:I cuz it’s p2w but i would like to ask question.
We all know that D3 equals failure and a bad game. So D:I is better than D3 or no? When you compare D4 to D:I what do you mean?
I’m free to disagree?
Ok. I disagree. Wholeheartedly and without a doubt.

I mean, if you sink so low to sell dungeon entrance / modifiers I guess you have to put some more effort into it to not make it look like a piece of ****
The MMO aspect from Diablo Immortal is far better than Diablo 4.

ATM diablo 3 is a joke … Everything is better then diablo 3 … its like 24h to complete season with all gear oneshoting all screen all the time by pressing one button in the process … it is a other side of extreme comparing to D4 …
Blizzard doesnt understand balance , all they do is extreme … up or down
however I understand the hate towards DI because of PTW concept , also I agree and i sad that graphic is like Disney version of Diablo world … however I played for a year and it was fun … Lately become too much grind and daily staf , started to feel more like work , so I quit … But I have good memories … Problem with DI is that if you dont keep up you really cant play it now and then … you will be too much behind … Diablo 3 you can play any season whenever you want …but that is another subject …
Social aspect if you like it in DI is great . In D4 doesnt even exist , that is one more thing here I dont understand … No random party ? no chat ? why for god sake ???
Diablo 4 is well designed game and campaign was great … If Blizzard make right changes and adjusment still can be great game … but ATM simply - its not
Metacritic user score of 5.2 /10 say something

Its sad but true, if you forget about all the BS monetization in DI, its actually a better game in many ways.
How did that happen?

I feel like these posts are made by Immortal devs patting themselves on the back.
Here are some things Immortal did better than D4:
Grouping up with people.
DI has a well made party finder that makes it very easy to find and group up with players in-game.
Clans.
DI clan feature isnt just a glorified chat, it actually has many important functions & activities and is a necessary part for full progression in the game
Main town.
The capital city in DI is well designed, a large city that is a nice looking community hub and truly has the capital feeling. D4 main city is like a big mud village.
Endgame progression.
In D4 you run into a wall and thats it, no more xp, no more difficulty levels to increase, no more better loot than you were able to get when you first started WT4.
In DI you can keep on progressing your level and your loots level will keep improving to higher levels in a real grindy Diablo game fashion.
Longevity of game.
Outside of seasons it looks like D4 is a 2-4 week game while D2/D3/DI will continue to give players at least some reasons to grind for years to come.
Battlegrounds.
Immortal had super fun battlegrounds, team vs team action, only problem it had was pay to win players dominating. Here on D4 we could have even better BG experience but for some reason its not included. Blizzard why not make use of what you learned from immortal?

it is my honest opinion
I expected many ppl will not agree with me … but also many of those ppl didnt actually seriously play it … They just hate the money concept witch is understandable
so its fine … we dont have to agree on everything .
Everyone is entitled to his own opinion as long we talk civilised

I will say that SOME of D:I is better than D4.
D:I has better end game activity variety, better dungeon mob density, better party forming mechanics, and significantly better clan mechanics with actual clan activities.
On the other hand D:I has horrible itemization where you just farm the set pieces for your build and pray for gem drops, it has abysmal build synergy, it’s borderline impossible to play more than one toon without turning it into a full time job (with ample overtime,) and it is predatory as all hell when it comes to its monetization.
D4 could definitely benefit from bringing some of D:I’s best elements over, but that’s about it.
