only troll would say it’s the worst game of 2023 (and i don’t understand why they even are still here in the first place, i personally won’t go to gollum forum etc… just to rant about it day in and day out)
bottom line is : i enjoy it along with my pals, many other enjoy it , some other don’t.

Diablo 4 was a disaster at launch which is true. It was nowhere near PoE level. I played D4 since early access before players bought beta. System overheated with lots of crashes for couple of months. Since then, I had no issues making it a good game overall before other games came out. Most people are enjoying the game while some refuse to realize Diablo 4 Devs didn’t have a say in the matter so they’re playing catch up.
This game is done. Nobody plays it anymore.
It got very negative reviews on Steam when it launched because literally, and I mean literally, there were posts all over here and on reddit from people who asked other people to buy the game on Steam, leave negative review and then refund.
Which I assume many did, because as we speak, the game has 71% out of 100% on Steam recently and 69% out of 100% All Reviews.
Which right now, I will also give D4 a 7 out of 10 which is a good score.

Those are the kind of people that deserve lifetime bans. They say they will never buy a Blizzard game again. I say call their bluff and make sure of it. The aftermath rage would be glorious.
I wouldn’t even play Castle Crashers on Switch, let alone MK1, but the biggest disappointment game for me in 2023 was FF XVI. I’m pretty much done with Square Enix at this point, unless it’s a remaster of Chrono Trigger or FF Tactics.
What kind of metric is it? Still plays like a beta version.

Diablo honestly should of been taken down to fix asap. (similar to what ff14 did before ARR)
Takign a game down and fixing it is faster than keeping it going & trying fix it.

Its less than 3 weeks before a new season. Alot of people have already done everything in S2 and will return on S3. Im only cleaning up HC achievements myself.
I was sad when the servers shut down. I got scammed because they didnt refund the lifetime membership.
Two completely different situations. Ff14 was broken, absolutely broken. D4 is nowhere even close.
People had “expectations” for D4 and were not listening to what they were buying. It will be like when PoE2 comes out. Im sure people will complain about RMT, dupes, bots, lag, grinding, math. Its no different than if you hit the PoE fourms.
Is D4 the “best” game? No need some love but season 2 was fun. Hoping it doesnt turn more into D3.

Out of the 6,135 language filtered reviews(the default filter when you look at reviews, instead of including the rest of the world), 3,762 reviews have less than 10 hours played, 2,650 have less than 5 hours played and 1,371 have less than two hours played. When you expand it to include all languages, there are 18,889 reviews, of those, 11,153 have less than 10 hours played. Keep in mind, Blizzard sold 10+ million copies of the game before they even put it on Steam.
Pretty sure you get the picture: It’s called review bombing. Blizzard pissed off a lot of Chinese players over the whole NetEase thing and a good chunk of those angry players are the ones doing the review bombing(they can also just VPN to America to leave them on this region’s review filters as well). They also review bombed the hell out of OW2, along with TF2 trolls that were scared of another game dethroning them.
You felt scammed for that? I bought the lifetime membership as well and you had to know it was a risk when purchasing the membership. Sure, it sucked but I didn’t feel scammed at all because you had to know it was a gamble when you purchased it.
with only 2 nomination at the GOTY awards none in the majority Blizzard is famous for art, design,direction and sound. Your premise is true but only if you consider past Blizzard past titles since the founding of the GOTY, D4 is the worst Blizzard game ever considered GOTY
Just recalculate the “score” removing accounts that did not play beyond the return window.
That should basically give you a more valid score.
I generally think non franchise fans score this game on average between 5 to 7.
Franchise fans score this 3 to 5.
Mainly because of expectations and relative experience to prior diablos.
A lot of wishful thinking. The OW2 situation clearly deserved many negative reviews, which accordingly included the proper reasons, and there was massive disillusionment with D4 as well expressed across multiple places. Rare to see a fanboy nowadays.
