I mean its hard to say what is legit. Plenty of pleople playing on potatos think they shouldnt have performance issues.
Isp is a thing. I have a friend in Northern BC playing on satellite because thats the only connection there and he has incredible lag.
Hardware and isp is not in the control of blizzard but the severs are. I have no encountered any performance issues on US servers but im in Vancouver so ky geographical area could have something to do with the flawless experience ive had over the last 4-5 months.
Well, you and the classy broad above you don’t understand that lag is specifically relegated to local servers, the vast majority of the time. Hell, she didn’t even know local servers existed until this thread.
You’ve also claimed D4 was the most played video game in the world and it’d certainly win GotY.
You guys will say anything to defend this game, regardless of whether or not you know about the subject.
There are more servers across an entire continent than one. It’s completely insane that I need to even address this. The “region” is Europe – that doesn’t mean they have a single server. They likely have a server in each city, and depending on the density, they could have more.
If you have no experience in a technical field relating to network engineering, I’d recommend reading a bit on the subject before shouting down individuals looking for help in that particular area.
Lol! But it would literally be impossible for them to run an entire continent from a single server.
Again, if you have literally no clue what you’re talking about, and rely on ridiculous, general statements like, “You don’t know their exact infrastructure!!!” to attempt at saving face, why are you commenting?
i dont need to save my face. you try to argue about some server structure you have no idea about. as i said. useless as usual.
The European Server IP is public in the help section and used to run traceroutings for troubleshootings. You try to create an argument about servers in every city lol without having any clue about it.
You do realize that even without them publishing any information, if your device communicates with a shard, that public IP is visible, yes? So with that in mind, it’s incredibly easy to see when you are on a different shard (which is a different game server hosting one particular in-game region). Even if a person doesn’t know the proprietary information regarding Blizzard’s network, they can still very easily tell you that there are, for example, multiple servers in Europe.
To even try to claim there is one server for Europe is just an incredibly naive, foolish, and uninformed opinion in general. This is the hill you choose to die on?
An estimated 50 million people played during the release hype, and you’re going to try and claim that all of Europe had one server processing all that data… Your lack of knowledge is so astoundingly bad on this topic that I’d advise you to just not even post. You probably shouldn’t even post anywhere, about anything, truthfully.
Again, if you don’t know what you’re talking about, it’d be a good idea to let the adults talk, and actually attempt at helping the people experiencing crippling lag.
She has committed her life to defending Blizzard’s honor regarding D4, and constantly shouts down anyone that needs help on the forums.
I’m a bit amazed she hasn’t been banned, honestly.
It has nothing to do with how anything is setup. If you hit a different IP (which you will), it means any kind of anecdotes akin to “But I’m on the same continent and it’s fine for me” are invalid. That’s kind of the point, and the fact that you don’t understand that makes your position here even worse.
