I was originally expecting it to end on the 22nd, so another week from that expectation doesn’t bug me, IF this is true.

Another week means you can make 2 more alts and run around the wheel some more, until the new shiny wheel comes. If that is your thing. :hamster:

last delay was S4, and it was a banger compltely rework the game, hope this is too

Blizzard is probably not ready with the mid-season patch. It might be announced next week for a release the week after, which means March 13th, nearly mid-March at the earliest. Ending the season on April 15th would be too soon.

Everyone being done well before the 3 month mark just means they give us 2 more weeks to not log in.

Cool! Season 7 it’s dead after 3 weeks and devs delayed season 8 for losing more players. Great move! I loved Diablo lore but now it’s trash and dead game.

Hmm, I wonder why. Ahh well.

They’re probably just giving themselves a 2 week vacation. From all the hard work of balancing nothing.

Imagine having to wait another 2 weeks just to play for 2 days of a new season.

I hope this is due to new content that needs a little more time

New content that gets scrapped after season ends.

That came with a clear announcement of a change in direction.

This sounds (per Rod’s wording)…
https://archive.ph/QBnDK
…more like development problems being tackled. Maybe they hired some competent testers & are changing their approach to “bug” fixes, ie decided it’s better to do a bit more of that before season start.

Goes totally against Rod’s philosophy:

…in my innocence, inquired if we could expect a similar gap to the next expansion or if it was an “it’ll be ready when it’s ready” situation. Big mistake.

“[That] phrase is a pet peeve of mine,” Fergusson said. “I hate the phrase ‘it’s ready when it’s ready.’ When I first came to Blizzard, somebody put a slide up that had that on there, and I went, ‘Nope! You’re deleting that.’ And they were like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I’m like, ‘That’s not how I make video games.’”

Must really irritate him.

(Holy crap, re-reading that & picturing that meeting… wow. How lucky was this franchise, amirite?)

Zoltun Kulle wasn’t our friend though.

He gives us the Cube & spicy commentary. In a different game, but still.

He acted for his own benefit. He would have double crossed us at any chance that came.

You have only benevolent friends? Must be nice.

Yes or else they are not your friends. In this context Zoltun Kulle is a villain acting in his own interests. Your character doesn’t kill him then think this guy is my friend now.
