After the most recent patch for me I keep getting crashes stating Diablo 4 has run out of memory. No other game I have has this issue. Tried dumbing down my settings as well. What’s the deal?
I am also having this issue. I have played since pre-season and have never had any issues with memory (also using high rez texture pack the whole time). This weekend I started seeing game crashes with errors about memory.
Windows Event Viewer shows the following:
Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: Diablo IV.exe (10044) consumed 27168944128 bytes
^^ that’s 27GB of virtual memory.
These issues did not start appearing until 4:00pm Eastern Time yesterday (February 4th).
I have the same issue after season 3 started. 0,5-2 hours gameplay and my PC is ran out of memory. Which is not possible because I have 32 GB of memory and 16 GB of VRAM.
I’m using RivatunerStatisticServer to monitor what’s happening and when the ran out of memory error popup my PC is at 11,5 GB VRAM usage and 23 GB of memory. So how is it possible to my computer ran out of memory?
Same ! Never had that issue before. been playing since pre-season,
Just got that error 4 times back to back.
Can’t play the game now.
It seems the game don’t like when you try to teleport. I just checked what’s happening when the game crash and in the task manager the Diablo 4 exe use around 5 GB of ram, that’s normal I think but after you use teleport on the loading screen it’s going up to 8 GB and crash instantly. To 5 GB to 8 GB is going under 2-3 seconds… that’s totally not normal.
So somebody needs to check out the game files or the program code.
I have 32 GB DDR5 ram, an RTX 4080 and an Intel I7-14700KF. Maybe it’s some kind of driver problem.
What’s really happening in the game is when you teleport the game just simply took 1-3 GB ram of the 1st loading screen, when you use an other teleport it’s going to took an other 500 MB - 1 GB ram…
An other thing do not teleport to the same location because you are not going to see anything in memory. It seems when you teleporting a different location that’s when the game is grow on memory size.
Maybe for your setup? Mine has been consistently using 8-15GB since launch.
Actually that part IS normal. You are loading into a different zone. But usually the system balances itself.
Which reinforces my point.
Till tonight. I ran out of memory as it consumed over 22GB and crashed.
I have to agree. Till this week, I was using a 3070 Ti, coupled to a Z790 with a 12900k, and 32GB of DDR5 and was on driver 535.98 from May of 2023.
This week, upgraded to a 4080 Super, installed the Jan 31st driver for the card. And BAM. Having issues like everyone else.
Funny that. I’m currently digging into it. *rubs hands together gleefully
Will update if I figure anything out.
