The budget Steamdeck (256 GB / LCD) clocks in at $400. Switch 2 announced at $449. You might get an older used 64 GB for $250, but good luck with D4 on it.
Plus Switch 2 would allow couch co-op play.

No just responding to paying $400 for 256g, and yea it will be out within a few months. I just can’t support Nintendo anymore the greed from them is unreal, $20 Xtra for a physical copy that isn’t actually a physical copy is crazy

Well that’s a 100% reasonable take, but isn’t what you stated initially.
As for a Switch 2 emulator, I doubt it. Nintendo has successfully stopped Switch emulator developments, and they’ll be quite aggressive with any Switch 2 programs as they arise. They didn’t jump on Switch 1 emulators quickly enough, but now they are accutely aware of them. But that’s Nintendo - they take a page right out of Disney to protect their IP.
Just saw the prices for some Accessoires like controllers etc… Yea…

From what I’ve read the switch 2 is a hybrid emulator already in order to play switch1 games, if that’s the case I don’t see it being to hard for emulators to gap the difference. Now one point could be the switch 2 might be just as powerful as the deck but the games that are played on switch’s don’t use all that power either. As for Nintendo stopping it, it’s almost impossible they been trying that already and I can still download switch 1 emulators now

seeing these prices im glad i stopped buying consoles at some point really.
a Steam deck could eventually interest me if i could get one for cheap sometime, but thats about it.
They successfully stopped both Switch 1 emulator developments - Yuzu and Ryujinx. Sure, you can get them because nothing dies on the internet, but it sends a strong signal to other potential developers that fear getting sued into oblivion.

D4 is pretty well on deck, on lowest + few mid settings I get 55-60 fps. But I have oled, maybe lcd will have slightly worse performance and also lcd screen in og deck is trash
