I’m interested in purchasing Diablo 4 but living out in the sticks, my internet speed is capped at 1.5 Mbps (real world download speed is 700 k/s. If I’m playing solo, how much of my gameplay is affected by my latency? Anyone else using a slow connection that could weigh in?

So I’m on similar internet. About 1.7 mbs tops, my download speed for most of me downloading this game was a whopping 200 kbs. I’ve got a few more months where I’m at and then I’ll have civilization internet again or I probably wouldn’t have purchased the game.
So unfortunately there is no full solo play. If by that you mean you won’t be teaming up or doing any group things it has been spotty for me. Mine frequently drops out and I’ll have to wait a few minutes for it to catch up and half the time I’m dead when I get back. My internet is very unreliable so if yours maintained that 700 kbs consistently I think it would be playable. When mine is working fine it actually runs great and I have very little issue. I get some lag when I open a vendor or my stash but that’s to be expected on the poor internet I’m running this game on.
So if your 700 KBs is consistent I think it could run it but if it drops completely often you might run into issues. Ultimately I’ve still been having a great time even if it gets frustrating with internet issues. All this could have been solved if you could play online but….

I’m also in the sticks but with higher DL speed at around 5-22mb/s depending on which way the trees get blown around. 
I don’t know if the servers cause the rubber band issue or if it’s my internet, but the MOST frustrating thing about the online gameplay is when the internet flickers while you are fighting or just traveling the map. Stuck on invisible walls and enemies swarming (but not causing damage yet) and your character is just convulsing from spamming moves that aren’t actually doing anything, then the internet catches up and all the damage you did or received slams all at once. So either you completely destroy mobs of monsters or you watch yourself get 
on instantaneously. It’s hilarious but annoying initially. Still worth playing for the most part.
I work on ship, I already purchased. But thinking if its playable because we are moving around the world.
