Diablo 4 no longer needs absurd shop prices or ridiculous DLC prices

Diablo 4 has generated $666 million in revenue - in two weeks. That’s undeniably a significant milestone, no doubt about it. But it also proves that all you need to do is make a good game for it to sell well and be well-received.
My fear now is that Blizzard will be licking their lips and wanting even more. I’m afraid that later on, I’ll have to pay a lot of money for additional DLCs or similar things because Blizzard has realized that people are willing to pay for them. The base game is already (in my opinion) quite expensive. Sure, it’s worth the money to some extent. But the absurd shop prices demonstrate that publishers have completely lost touch with reality when you consider that you’re expected to pay so much money for a few pixels. Yes, it’s optional, but Blizzard and other publishers artificially drive up prices by creating artificial scarcity of skins. Just think about it, skins are nothing but pixels, and you can’t simply buy them; they rotate and sometimes they’re available, sometimes they’re not. Yet people buy them.

What do you think about it? Do you believe such prices are justified, and do you think the DLCs will be expensive (if any are released)?

There, fixed that for you.

I don’t want to discuss whether you think the game is good or bad. I think the game is good. That’s my opinion. However, that’s not the topic here. If you want to talk about that, there are plenty of other threads for that.

The gaming industry is in shambles. Most people are craving a game that’s enjoyable. I remember everyone hyping D3 as if it was the 2nd coming of Christ. Same conversations now that was then. History repeats itself because hoomans be dumb.

Humans r dumb? Ai basically does everyting now. Why you think everything gets worse? Maybe people who rely on ai make things worse not all humans.

Most people do, but it’s not great. That’s the problem.

Or just don’t buy skins from the shop?
Not that hard to do.

Oh, you solved my problem. Thanks. Thread closed.

Thats atm not the point of the Thread.

It’s funny seeing this post and now there asking players would mind paying up100$ for the dlc they have coming out. It’s ridiculous did they expect us to pay that amount for a game they already made so much money on and charged $100 for already. If they’re going to do this for the next DLC they are going to lose a lot of people because people are not going to want to pay these ridiculous prices especially with the economy the way it is now. Man I get it ,it’s a business too and they want to make money but at the expenses of their customers like they really want to charge that much for game that’s been buggy problematic and dropped almost all this population during season 1. Yeah this is a great way to get customers back not ( sarcasm). They charge $25 for skins I get it some people like to flare of looks and whatnot but $25 for pixels that’s absurd and a lot of these companies have lost touch with their customer base this is borderline madness oh sure economy is in shambles but hey we’ll charge another $100 for a DLC on a game we already developed but we want you to pay more on a game that’s been problematic and Buggy if this is the way things are going for Diablo 4 I’m going to delete this f****** game and it sucks a lot of these games have this microtransaction b******* the games have lost their appeal they lost their roots they just can’t make a great game anymore without greater expectations of micro transactions and skins and whatnot it’s just crap

Why do you guys think Elden Ring and BG3 was so big?

They broke the mold, in a very good way. They went above and beyond, and people loved it
