Diablo 4 is the biggest single player mmo ever made

Game feels completely empty despite it being the most popular game out right now. No mechanism to do dungeons with people or matchmake for quests or anything like that. Its a great game but blizzard forgot to make it multiplayer.

Isn’t there a clan system? Wanted to finish the story first so haven’t dug into it yet.

Yeah - but its a joke:

  • there are very limited tags so you wont really be able to finde one you like

  • the limit is 150 and most even with not 150 ppl have so many applications that you will simply get a message that you cant apply anymore

  • there dont seem to be any clan features so its just a group chat that is constantly spammed by pointles messages about achivements no one cares about - and you cant even turn those off …

  • and you only can have 1 Clan - i think at most another one for HC?

Due to the limit of 150 and no way of even knowing what your getting into.

There also doenst seem to be an easy way to even group up with ppl in your clan via the chat when you talk to someone …

Fortune Telling:
The Clans will be dead within weeks because 95% of them will be a compilation of players that stopped playing.

its more convenient to play with randoms. I dont wanna have to organize with a clan to do a simple dungeon that 1000 other people are doing at the same time as me, yet theres no way to automatically matchmake with them. Rarely see anyone at events. something not right here lol. They forgot to make the game multiplayer i guess.

Calling anything a “single player” and “MMO” sounds like a contradiction… this just shows how little meaning terms like “MMO” actually have anymore and the fact that people will just call anything an MMO :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Just for the record open-world or even shared open-world does not mean MMO.

that contradiction is kinda the point im being sarcastic lol

Maybe its just a missunderstanding and with MMO they meant:

Massively overpriced
Microtransaction
Onlinestore

Who knows?

And in all honesty - that probably is a better description for most MMOs these days than Massive Multipler Onlinegame.

When you dont know where the franchise is heading, slap there MMO sticker with open world.

Yeah, like I said, haven’t dug into it. If you’re looking for a consistent multiplayer experience, you may have to go online and find a guild or clan. Had to do the same thing for Overwatch. Newer Blizzard games are weird that they encourage group play, but give little to no in game tools to do so.

Completely agree. Hope they will listen to the feedback.
