No idea why so much complaints.
Its runs well, its a complete experience, it has a decent amount of launch content (a little thin places but overall its fair), smooth very responsive rather fun gameplay, and working servers.
If you fundamentally dont like the game, its not for you i guess.
If you have issues with some mechanics or systems, sure i get it, but things will improve as time goes on.
I think my one and only MAJOR complaint is itemization tied to chests, it seems like chests give you everything and killing monsters can in some cases be a consequence of finding the best most optimal chest farm with no combat. This does in a way undermine the gameplay but i expect it to change simply because the path of least resistance will be whatever the most optimal combatless chest run is.
Outside of this, game is pretty good.

I see this is your first day on the internet.
You’ll learn.
Same bro, I am the type who hates video games in general except wow and this is the first game that hooked me.

There were a LOT of people who didn’t understand how the server slam was intended to work, and are extrapolating that TINY amount of gameplay experience to represent the entire release game. Which is comically foolish, to say the least.
Tying gear to chests I think is their way to add more to the gameplay loop rather than just “kill things.”
I still think it needs quite a bit of polish. I spent four hours getting a barb to level 20 during the slam, only spent one hour getting a sorc to 20 AND even had some reasonable gear by that time because of the balancing. Of course, the end game might be the complete opposite.

Some people will legitimately offer suggestions to make the game better. Others, will complain about anything and everything. These are typical internet trolls. They’ll visit this forum day after day posting they want a refund, or they got a refund, or making demands before they would purchase the game, or the Druid is too fat, the necro is too skinny, etc. But they NEVER leave! They’re just hang around this forum just to complain. It’s so sad.
maybe 6, i feel like Anthem , mass effect andromeda and fallout 76 were the true start to the downfall of quality in games. Prior to that it was still good…mostly.
Sure. We also haven’t get a good game in longer than 5 years. Winning by default… ain’t winning. Just makes you first place loser.
D4 is the super hero movie of gaming. Even the best of them suck.
I sort of agree, if the bar is so low, is this really that good, but I think this game takes us back up closer to where the bar was maybe 5-6 years ago.
Meanwhile most of the games I still play came out between 1999 and 2010.
I just ain’t touching battlepasses and DLC lol.
65% players lost after first week.
WAY more than that. 65% is pretty normal for all games.

I dont agree, I have a feeling that this might hold players and keep a relatively high retention rate. something around 25-30%. At least if we consider the limited offering of new titles this year so far.
It’ll be under 100k year 1. Of which less than 20k will play regularly.

This is unrealistic. diablo 2/3 have millions of players on the leaderboards every season, so to expect the latest version designed with longer engagement in mind to be any less than a couple million…is not realistic.
Diablo 2 and 3 are good games though.
D3 peaks at around 30k players. D2R less than that.
And they ain’t going to be milking people for cash every 3 months.
D4 isn’t designed for people to play. It’s designed to sell people something, and have them log out.
Do you have a website or data that shows this? Because I just look at the leaderboards?
I’m talking concurrent. The fact that there is that large of a gap just kind of shows how little people actually play it.
do you have any website that shows the data there is 30k concurrent, because this seems incorrect.
