And my ironic anime sidescroller would have sold $500,000,000 too if it wasn’t for you meddling games journalists!
Bugged like how? the only issues I’ve found lately are dungeons that you can’t progress in, Ie the Animus carriers aren’t dropping enough to go to the next area or there aren’t enough of them to kill. Or they just don’t drop any at all. I even noticed this in the capstone dungeon to graduate to WT4.
unstable client, the event done in 1h, not worst to play any more
Unfortunately, this is falling on deaf ears. People said the same about D3 after a month and continued to live in a delusional state saying (to this day) the game was a massive flop critically and financially and that no one played the expansion or the seasons. D4 could vastly improve and sell loads of copies after the expansions, and you’ll still be hearing it flopped from people that haven’t played since the first month.
We live in a world where reality is now based on opinion and feelings despite things like facts and evidence. I have no idea what’ll happen with D4 in the future, if it’ll crumble or have a turnaround like D3; I’m just saying that to a bunch of people on these forums it won’t matter either way.
Nah, I’ve quit playing also.
My end game is the forum till they get their $#!@ together.
I hope they get rid of this whole throw some crap in a bowl and summon the bad guys.
That’s what really turned me off of this game.
It’s literally the stupidest thing I have ever seen.
Duriel, Lord of Pain, is summoned by the supposed hero.
From a bowl…
I would argue and say that is in fact considetred bad.
Bad writing, bad planning, bad design, bad implementation and bad execution.
This is 100% correct. Diablo 4 is dead and bad regardless of whether I like it or not
Seriously…I’m in the mid-range crew…it’s not great, it’s not ghastly…doesn’t seem altogether “dead” either…least last time I was in at the end of S2.
Sets suck, one of the worst additions to D3, just a total lack of creativity on the Devs part. Hey lets make gear that give +10,000% damage because we dont have any real ideas. Sets lead to set dungeons then a million whiners about builds then we will have 37,000 leader board (participation trophies) like D3. Just lazy development and massive power creep. Adding zeros to life and damage dont make a game better, neither does 16 tiers of torment, just more zeros
and this is where greed of the community comes in…
We said the same stuff for 2 years after D3 launch and look at that its still there.
Get a life.
When people say something is bad or dead…it is the generally accepted majority rules opinion.
When 10m people buy a game and less then 400k actually play the game…the summation is that it is in FACT bad AND dead.
Yes a small minority will enjoy it. That doesn’t make it GOOD or ALIVE.
Yes D3 sets were just a way to save a dead game.
D2 Sets on the other hand were super fun to collect. Sigons for low levels - yes pls.
D4 should find the balance between the two.
Not having sets because D3 misused them = lame.
True story.
If anything, you guys not complaining are the minority
Thing is, we can all complain but what they are looking for is logical constructive feedback. Not “D4 sucks go play PoE” “Devs lazy”.
I’ve always liked Diablo no matter what happens to it because it’s a grounded ARPG. PoE and LE or even Grim Dawn are trying too much to be competitors to eachother or way too differen’t/complex for their own good.
Diablo was made to come over and slap down on the couch with buds and spam crap at mobs for a few hours.
You guys are treating D4 like it should be a high end competitive Esport title at times with the ask for leaderboards and score sheets to feel good about your ego I guess.
I’m here for the game. Doesn’t mean I agree with everything in it and I can place feedback for changes as they come but I’m not gonna sit here and say “D4 BAD” all day like most of these posts.
and collect some fun loot. - this is the part that is missing. I don’t want it to be super complex I just want to have fun getting cool loot. not picking up garbage rares endlessly.
I think D3 sets just when RoS came out were in a good place. We had things like tal rasha that dropped meteors every 8s and vyr that gave all runes to archon and so on. There wasn’t really a set that gave a 10000% increase damage. That came after when GRs were introduced as the devs kept increasing power of sets with every season until sets ended up where they are today.
If power creep doesn’t plague D4 as well, sets could be a nice addition, although I am not over confident since we are in season 3 and one-shotting everything already
Yea the way it is now you are looking for base rares with 3/4 stats you require for a build then reroll the 4th stat. It’s almost like they want crafting gear to be a focus more than finding actual upgrades from bosses.
D3 had the same feel with re rolling stats and finding bases but it had sets so… was a bit better with that unlike here with aspects.
Except D4 doesn’t even have crafting its just rerolling a stat or upgrading. IN d3 you could actually craft gear lol.
In D3 it was a thing but it wasn’t so bloated with bad magical properties.
Which is why im worried for the expansion adding crafting in full. Which would kill any interest for me as I’d rather find stuff not make it.
Which is why I got annoyed and bored with last epoch after 700 hours.
I enjoyed D3 crafting. The gear was good starter gear or usually used in leveling. Say I hit lvl 46 but still had level 32 bracers I could just make an upgrade real quick.
D3 it was never used in endgame. I agree - I don’t want to have to craft in end game. but it should be a part of the game.
But D4 has new mechanics called Imprinting. You collect Yellows and collect Aspects from any gear. Then imprint everytime you want to upgrade. In D3, there is a point in progression where all yellows are garbage. In D4, yellows are important from start to finish. Yeah, we get rid of Sacreds but NM80+ gives almost all Ancestrals 900-925 power level.
D3 sets are obsolete. You get 3 powers from 8 slots set. On D4, you get powers on each slot. And there’s bonus in D4, with the Unique items as it gives multiple powers in one slot.
Which rendered legendaries nothing but powers on a stick since the actual rolls of legendary drops are insignificant besides the aspect. I personally prefer yellows seeing less use in the end game than legendaries (that are not legendary at all at this point tbh)
If legendaries had an extra base affix compared to rares that could encourage players to actually look for legendary drops rather than just the aspect while also preserving the imprinting system for progression. Alas I don’t see this happening at the current state of the game
I hope S4 just redoes, or even just gets rid of, the entire aspect system.
