D4 is definitely not dead. Blizzard’s already made north of a billion dollars on it. If they’re smart they’ll double that number in the next 6 months with expansion and transmog sales.

Meanwhile back in reality, D4 has made tons of money since the game launched and is about to make a ton more when the first expansion launches. But by all means, keep pretending your opinion is anything more than an opinion.

Very few people are still leveling at this point in a season. And many of them will be leveling alts, so they will blitz past WT2 in an hour or so. This is why seasons are so great: when the next one starts there will be tons of people all leveling at the same time and it will be much easier to find people to help with Blood Maiden (and also there will be a group finder).
Not trolling. That is all the truth. Sorry, if that upsets you. Some of you really get all bent out of shape over this stuff. Its understandable if you are 12 years old but the way some of the “adults” around here act is weird.
The game isn’t even close to bad. For a semi casual ARPG it’s pretty good.
The bad mostly comes from dev indecisiveness and it’s impact on Eternal realm. In Seasonal, who cares? It’s basically getting wiped anyways unless you want to stash your gear in Eternal’s bank or something. But in Eternal where everything is permanent it causes grief whenever the basics get redone.
So the dev team being so mercurial when it comes to fundamental design has lasting impact and that’s kind of off putting because it says “We don’t care enough to think about an entire game mode where loads of people play and were all your characters/gear go after a season ends”.
Yeah Diablo 4 just isn’t really for me (yet). But I know someone at work that really loves it and plays every season to do the battle pass.
I think I would get into it if they had some sort of marketplace or auction house. And a matchmaking system instead of a bulletin board group finder.
Sure it did, no one denies that. The same way no one denied it back then with D3. The fact of the matter is the Diablo fan base rejected that game and gave many reason why in great detail. So yeah, back in reality indeed.
So the millions of players who enjoy the game arent the Diablo fanbase.

Current player count is 3.8 million for the past thirty days according to activeio. We are at the tail end of the season and it will certainly jump much higher soon with the new season and expansion launch. For a game that is over a year old that is pretty impressive.
Sorry guys, but this game just stubbornly continues to stay popular and make money no matter what your opinion of it is.

Fact is i had 30+ players on my friends list playing d4 at launch. Lucky to see 3 on in an entire week now. Experience and knowledge beats internet every time,

There wouldnt be an expansion in 3 weeks, there wouldnt be campfire chats and I wouldnt be seeing lots of players in game, many wearing wings, this late in a season if the game stunk as much as you claim. Content creators certainly wouldnt still be spending time with it.

And I already preordered that garbage Amazon MMO that comes out the 15th. That is better than a Diablo 4 expansion. And I already know it since i played both already.
