Diablo 4 is honestly a joke at least on PC

This game runs like a game from 1997 on dialup, it reminds me of the original Starcraft in a rural area on dialup.

$70 for a game that looks like its from 2012, has a story and depth of a free to play game and runs like a game from 1997 on dialup.

If this game was $30 it would be a fair deal, they clearly set this up to make like $150 off of it, they will have 2 or 3 expansions that cost $50-70 to make it a full game.

I have a 500/500 internet 3080, 5900x, 64gb of ram, pcie 4.0 drive, anytime that there is a cutscene or something that doesn’t require online connectivity it runs at 120fps. No it is not my PC, every other game I get 60-120 fps on other than maybe Cyberpunk.

How could I even duel or play hardcore if the rubberbanding and lag is so bad, in a big town I can barely even move at times.

Compare this game to games like Witcher 3 or GTA V or other huge AAA titles, the value / performance isn’t even close, those games are light years ahead and are a decade old now.

You know what game also runs like a game on 1997 dialup?

Joke’s on you, eh?

Servers have been rough the last couple of days for me. Hopefully this maintenance sorts it out.

If $70 for 3 more FREE Diablo Expansion!!! That will be cool

Are you using a wireless connection?

All Blizzard games have horrible latency on most wireless connections. I couldn’t play Overwatch at all until I wired my connection and the problem disappeared.

agree , is awful how the game run optimisation is a big 0 that why a lot of gtx burn to dead ,
and the real reason why open world xp suck is too send us in nightmare dungeon because the server can not take to much player in the same zone , the big feature of diablo 4 suppose to be open world and he all end on dungeon 85% of the time

It lags out when you see other players in game because for some reason they decided the game needs to load the entire stash inventory for each player into your game.

When we say they are expensive what we mean is that they create a lot of memory overhead. When you see another player in game you load them and their entire stash filled with all their items. This is what teams are working diligently to improve so that we can have more asap.

On the Battle.net launch page…go to settings and turn off " use Browser Hardware Accelerator". Fix my stuttering and rubber banding issues.

At this point I’m fully expecting the problem to continue to get worse over time. Blizzard really took an extremely ambitious approach to building this game on a technical level by the looks of it, and they sure seem like they bit off more than they can chew.

my latency on pc (hold ctrl down press “R” twice), I noticed before s1 was 18ms to 34ms… when s1 started most of the time it was around 40-46ms after a few days in no matter where i went it was 80-120ms and during event it was well over 300ms-900ms

It was really really bad, i too have a fairly decent pc (home built with a 3080 card ddr5 ram, etc) and it was so laggy in town I thought I “locked up” and I accidently pressed the button to bring up my chapters and not realizing where my mouse was and i was clicking to get my guy to move, my mouse clicked the activate battlepass (I already completed the full pass before using my enchance battlepass)… as soon as it clicked my latency wen from non-responding down to 28ms to 32ms and now hasnt gone even close to 50ms

I think they are purposely lagging people out to use the battlepasses from our ultimate editions.

Its really weird and probably sounds like I wear an aliumin foil hat (which i dont)… but its just something that makes you go … hmmmmm

My computer is old so I thought it was me. I play with everything at LOW and still experience lad and what not.

Could be just coincidence. But honestly with all the shenanigans companies have been caught doing. Things like buffing box openings for streamers etc. I would not doubt it would/could happen.

Excuse you. Diablo 1’s connection was way more stable than this.

How to prove you haven’t played D2 in one easy step.

a patch just dropped for me

You need to drop 5k on a PC to run D4. 192gb of ram with a 4090 and an i9 is all you need.

No wired a Connection, that shouldn’t matter either if your ping and speed is good. I get 500/485 or so on speedtest

On my side, I’ve had problems with VRAM leaks. I activated AMD ReBar and FidelityFX, which solved the problem by about 70%. I still get occasional freezes, but at least I can play now. No lag issues.
