Diablo 4 is boring

More personal attacks, you will definitely defend the game

It’s cool that you don’t like Diablo, to each their own; but this post is like saying a swimming pool is bad because there was water in it.

Inaccurate comparison, as this is not really a hack and slash Diablo game, like D2 or D3. It’s a MMO, and a bad one at that.

In what world is this not a hack-and-slash Diablo game?

The always online junk bugs me, don’t get me wrong, but that doesn’t make it not a HnS Diablo game.

In the OPEN world of D4. With systems like side-quests, renown, timed events, world bosses, game shop.
They discovered the technology of rift portals in D3, 50 years before this thing, why do I have to ride a freaking horse when I just want to kill some monsters in a dungeon?

Because the sales team said mounts sell the best.

Again, not disagreeing, but “I have to walk to the dungeon” doesn’t make this not a hack-and-slash game. If you prefer D3, just play D3.

Obviously, waiting for S29. Still trying to get this to lvl 100, though it’s becoming more annoying every single day.

Agree, game is boring to very significant extent. Playing campaign and all kind of dungeons and side quests I feel like delivery guy who is sent to all kind of delivery missions bringing items to various locations and NPCs… all this in poor hooligans district, on your way to deliver pizza you have to keep monsters away. Lvl up is pointless. Playing sorcerer I was able to create half-way working build using maximum chilling and freezing + high attack speed and as much as possible extra damage for basic skill. Just like machine gun. All this combined with blizzard and its bonuses. Couldnt find anything else which is not helpless. Game kicks me out in half of cases when I use waypoint. Kinda disservice they sell.

1 minute ride 3 minute clear, 4 minutes to find one missing objective or backtrack. This is quest simulator d3.5. Not a Diablo worth aarpg.

Uh, so go play Diablo 2? I’m not seeing the point of your post.

People who play ARPGs and complain about repetitive gameplay confuse me more than anyone else I can think of. It is really beyond comprehension. A thousand Baal runs upon a thousand Pindleskin runs is awesome, but World Quests are uninteresting and lazy?? Really??

Well, yes, yes it does.

The genre started with a little game called gauntlet which was a four player adventure game where you were tossed in a dungeon and just saw how far you could get using a quarter. It had a rogue, warrior or mage.

D1 was made in it’s spirit using a similar concept. But, adding a little roll play and a few quests that were on the journey.

D2 same concept, a bit of crafting and playable quests.

D3 same concept with an entire playable progressive story arc. Later bounties which I don’t remember anyone saying OMG, I love bounties. But, they did love rifts.

D4. Quest simulator d3.5. The bounties enhanced version… You may do them both in and out of dungeons.

They go to an MMO for world quests. Diablo was either a playable scenario or one of quest up to D3 bounties. I won’t speak for others, but I play aarpgs to get away from quest restrictive play.

Okay, so you agree that Diablo has evolved since Diablo 1. You know what D1-D3 have in common though? A core gameplay loop that involves killing a lot of demons to get gear to kill more demons to get gear to kill more demons and so on…

That’s Diablo. You can say you don’t like the travel here, sure. But I am going to say it again loud and slow for you so you can really understand.

Walking  to  a  dungeon  doesn’t  mean  it  isn’t  Diablo

Which ARPG would that be?? In the old formula, you HAD to run the quests of the campaign because they provided tangible, necessary benefits. A minimum of 3 times.

Heads it’s not Diablo, tails it’s not Diablo. I don’t even have to look, because this junk is not Diablo. It doesn’t even have him in game.

Cool, you should probably peace out then. You clearly aren’t a fan.

I am a fan of Blizzard North and the original IP. Telling people with a different opinion that you just leave is a common response here. I am use to it. Apologies, if I do not share your opinion. Have a good life.
