I came from Diablo 2 and I play season to collect items to build the ultimate immortal realm character. What is the point of playing season realm back to back just to lose everything? When I say lose everything I mean by the devs nerfing the immortal realm items into legacy items. They even made some items obsolete. The immortal realm is where we keep all these overpowered items that the devs screwed up on. Its like a trophy for us because there is no fun in playing season realm then lose everything and repeat.
Please upvote if you feel the same. The Devs should leave immortal realm alone and consider it a dumping grounds for all their item screw ups.

The devs don’t understand the point of having an Eternal Realm. Neither does a large portion of the player base. Unfortunately you won’t win this argument on this forum, despite being right.

They were made irrelavant by a game redesign as well as more powerful items coming into the game. The redesign wouldn’t have happened had they stuck to their original vision of the game. I’ll give you that one. But any new expansion is going to bring in more powerful versions of those items. It will most likely happen again when the next expansion hits. Welcome to live service. If Eternal Realm was never meant to change there would be no endgame bosses except for Uber Lilith along with none of the other features that have been added since launch. If things never changed, what would be the point of playing the realm? Something to pull up on occasion and admire your old characters?
