Does anyone else feel like Diablo 4 has become more of a single player game now that bears a small range for the group experience bonus… To me it seems like your party can’t go into dungeon split up clear it without losing the group experience bonus. So why group up at all.
I thought they said its mostly a single player experience with multiplayer events.
it is really lame when you are crushing it with a random and then you guys cross a boarder whoops he goon forever… back to single player that was fun for a sec.
Oh it’s multiplayer alright.
As in, multiple people are playing all around you but there’s no way to chat or team up.
Just wish they would’ve had a way to select multiplayer and join a group in their last game and then coulda brought it forward.
Oh, wait…….
I have been putting off joining a clan but I might have to just to group up now and then. You’re right it all just feels very solo dolo. Gets lonely out there : /
I decided to disable crossplay and I don’t see other players anymore most of the time. I’ve seen only one player in last 2 days.
OP, aside from leveling as fast as you possibly can, what else do you hope to get from playing the game with other people?
More xp? Grouping gives a buff to xp.
To the OP, best way to get in groups is to join a clan, whisper people and ask, or add people to your friends list.
The multiplayer experience in this game is a dud.
They need an in-game LFG tool.
Definitely need to fix public multiplayer gaming. For D3, it was really easy to group up for bounties, rifts, and greater rifts.
For D4, I only group up for world bosses and kegion events that tend to last for a few minutes or less.
Its a mostly single player game that forces you to play online. There isn’t really chat or grouping options.
Diablo 4 is a single player game with optional multi-player.
Not sure why this is news or a surprise. Its not an mmo. Diablo has always been single player with optional multi-player.
My biggest issue is when you’re in a group together and you go into a dungeon you can’t really separate to clear the dungeon. Because you lose your XP buff. And then you don’t want to do it solo because your drop rates are crap when you solo. I don’t feel like spending 45 minutes on a single dungeon so having more people to come faster is nice but what’s the point when you don’t get the extra experience
It’s fun to play with friends.
Mine aren’t always on and there have been a couple of times when I’ve needed a hand, just gone to town and used the “I need help” Emote.
Was less than a minute before I had an offer, let them know I needed help with a Stronghold Boss and we sorted it out no problem.
It’s nice when you join someone else in an Event or the other way round and everyone is greeting and thanking each other at the end.
It isn’t - the online part is to allow for forced changes to the game. Instead of waiting for some users who don’t want to update - they can make all user update.
Basically it’s the multiplayer from D3 [always active no pause] with the intestinal cave tunnel map as the overworld [the one you see in area 4 /5 a lot].
The thing is, during beta, people were screaming that seeing other players ruined their immersion in game. I named my Druid BearButt, just so people could get a chuckle seeing him ride by.
I rarely see the numbers of players in the same instance now though, mostly boss: raids now days, which is saddening.
I do group when I get the chance, sometimes when solo and I see someone with a huge mob, I’ll bomb in and assist, same for events, and especially during helltide. No one wants to be overwhelmed and nuked in helltide.
Even formed my own clan, it’s small, all friends, just there so we can group up easier due to various platforms (Xbox, Pc and Sony), plus wave achievements at each other
