Diablo 4 detected as Malware

While teleporting to a waypoint, the game was loading and my Malwarebytes blocked the connection to 34.125.42.205. This resulted in the game continuing to load until I whitelisted the IP address. I’ve have two 60+ characters and this is my first time getting this issue.

You can add the game itself to the exclusion list. If you don’t trust Blizzard, you shouldn’t have bought games from them at all.

lol. I don’t whitelist any of my games and I shouldn’t need to. By your logic, you shouldn’t eat anywhere where you wouldn’t drink from the bathroom sink.

Odd. I run the full version of this and have not had an issue once.

Looking up the IP address you listed doesn’t seem to be associated with Blizzard either. A google hosting address maybe? Based out of Las Vegas. lol

The game is digitally signed. If Blizzard ships games with viruses, they will be finished.

No. When you walk into Starbucks and order a coffee, you trust them and don’t check the coffee for urine or poisons. But here you don’t trust Blizzard. You’ve already installed Blizzard’s apps and you already trust them. You are developing a kind of paranoia.

Blizzard has been using clouds for a long time. First it was Amazon, then Google.

If your PC contains such important information from it, it’s not worth playing with. Keep a separate PC for such purposes.
Again, when you update the base, this behavior will be added to the whitelist without your knowledge or desire.
All of these checks are performed eurestically. They can give a lot of false positives.

And you picked the wrong place to complain. You need to go to the Malwarebytes forum first. Since you trust them, they will explain everything to you. And on this forum you are just wasting your time.

And if you’re so paranoid, you might like Virustotal.

I definitely dont trust Blizzard anymore, thats for sure

lol jumping to conclusions again. If you want an accurate analogy, it would be a health inspection warning on the door.

I never said there was important information on the PC.

lol the same forum that you suggested said the block is valid

It’s still not clear from the log. Either Blizzard planted the virus on all of you or you got it on the side.

Check the quarantined file with totalvirus. You can also check if it has a digital signature.
