I’m experiencing a very specific issue in Diablo 4. The game flashes or sometimes even crashes when I click the left mouse button. This issue only happens in Diablo 4 — I’ve tested multiple other games (like PUBG) and they work perfectly.
Here are my system specs:
- GPU: RTX 3060 Ti
- Monitor: Full HD 144Hz (single display)
- Mouse: Redragon M916 (originally set to 4000 Hz polling rate, now lowered to 1000 Hz and 500 Hz for testing)
- Windows Version: 10.0.26100.4484 (fully updated)
- Game installed via Battle.net, all files verified
Things I’ve already tried:
- Lowered mouse polling rate to 1000 Hz and 500 Hz — issue persists.
- Tested different DPI settings.
- Ran Diablo 4 with administrator privileges.
- Disabled all overlays (Battle.net, Discord, NVIDIA).
- Switched between DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 using launch arguments (
-dx11and-dx12). - Changed display mode between fullscreen, windowed, and borderless.
- Reinstalled GPU drivers using DDU (clean install).
- Created a new Windows user profile — problem still occurs.
- Tested a second mouse — same problem only in Diablo 4.
Important: the issue only occurs when I click the left mouse button in Diablo 4. Right click and other buttons work normally. There are no input issues outside the game or in other titles.
This seems like a compatibility bug between the game and specific mouse input behavior. I’d appreciate if this could be escalated to the development team, as it makes the game nearly unplayable.
