Hi. I’ve been experiencing constant game crashes since the start of last season. It’s about not having enough memory, as the game tells me.
I have an AMD Radeon 7600 XT with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, as well as 32 Gigs of RAM. I run the game on Windows 10, and my drivers are indeed up-to-date, I do not have this type of problem in any other game, only on this.
I tried troubleshooting it by reinstalling/verifying the game’s files. It did not work. Even lowering the graphics to a minimum allows me to play the game for an hour at most. The game should not draw this much VRAM out of my GPU, nor should it crash at this amount of load.
Since I can’t include links to this topic, I can’t show the picture of my game crashing and the task manager showing that it only had 12/16 GB of VRAM loaded.

having a similar issue
9700x and a 7900GRE and its using every bit of the vram…to the point the system will freeze for a moment and come back.
I dont recall this happening before this season, and for sure didnt happen over last season, I can maybe play for 30 min before hangs happen and I see all Vram is in use.

Same issues here. Constant game crashes despite numerous patches saying “various stability improvements”.
And Blizzard has not fixed the problem since MONTHS.

Me too AMD 7900XTX with Ryzen 9 7900X, 2 gig of RAM. Unplayable at the moment!
Don’t think it’s an AMD thing. I’m rocking an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 32 GB of RAM and constantly crashing going back to last season. Can’t even finish a dungeon right now

For NVIDIA cards just disable the DLSS in graphics options and the crashes will stop.
It worked for me.
It seems there´s a huge memory leak that feel up the GPU memory and after all it crashes.

Another crash, 2nd this season, I highly suspect the memory leak, gotta check the RAM usage from time to time to prevent those in HC
Will check the DLSS as @XAWY mentioned
I’m running Intel CPU, GeForce RTX 3090, 32 GB Memory, and getting the same error. I will test disabling the DLSS. I do know going two driver versions back also resolved my issue previously. I may go back to that again.
Me too the game crashes at the connection or the page of the characters. (the game was installed again today+repair) , I haven’t played since the S2
It just crashed with the DLSS disabled.
The same thing happens in Spain.
I have an i7 - 3070 rtx - 32 gigas. I can play any game without problems.
This one crashes constantly. In addition, it has already crashed 5 times in a row just when I am about to finish the time dungeon.
For now, I am not going to play, because I know games that can destroy your PC due to malfunction.
With the quality that Blizzard had… This happens when you put quota before professionalism.
yeah no, you might have skimmed reddit for like half a fraction of a second with that opinion. this is an issue that pretty much affects both AMD, intel and nvidia wich points to the diablo 4 dumpster fire of servers being the culprit for the crashes
I am having this issue as well.
I’m getting Fenris crash every hour or so, except while playing on my Werewolf druid. It crashes with every other character, and obviously, we lose whatever potion we had on, lose our Pit, lose our Hordes or undercity progress/key because Blizzard is bad at bringing our characters back from a PC/game crash.
Never had a single crash before VoH, and even with VoH, it was on the low side (4 or 5 crashes during the whole season.

I am also having significant issues with constantly crashing, I have been since Season 3. Played for 2.5 hours yesterday, crashed 11 times. find it happens most of the time when I am teleporting.
I am running Ryzen 7 3800X with 64gig of RAM and AMD RX 6750XT. Not a superior system, but should be able to handle running D4. My network is 10gb internal and 5gb external. I have tried enabling swap file, driver management, alternate network hardware, direct connecting my PC to the interwebs, changing in game settings and maxing out the performance settings on my system. nothing seems to make any impact to game stability…
I am going to have to walk away from this game until blizzard resolves the issues.
