Every time I play Diablo 4 it will crash no matter what I am doing. I have tried to speak to support but no results. I have a 4070 ti and I am on the understanding that the 40 series has alot of troubles with D4 and was wondering if there is any solutions. I found a ‘solution’ where I had to rename or delete two files how ever that has not worked. Ive re installed Windows and Diablo 4, verified files, downloaded the optimized drive for it and still no luck with it working. Any one got an answer or any help?
Idk if it’s the same problem, but it stopped crashing for me when I dismissed the new pet.
this has been happening before the pets were put in the game but glad it fixed for yourself!
I have a 4090 and recently had to go into my username/Documents/Diablo folder and delete or rename my preferences file (don’t recall the file name and I’m on my phone). That worked for me. But also, in my NVIDIA Control Panel App, I’ve turned on Vsync and then in the game menu settings, turned vsync off. So it’s no longer application controlled but controlled by the NVIDIA CP and it runs super smooth without crashing.
I will give this a try when I next can and if you remember those file names just shoot them bellow this message, thanks mate
It’s named LocalPrefs.ini inside the Documents/Diablo IV folder
Cheers thank you I did find it after posting my reply and it did work for a day or so but now it is back to crashing again. Appericate your help though, I may just keep deleting it.
If you’re deleting it and then going in and changing your graphics settings, it could be those changes that are causing the crash.
Rather than setting everything the way I wanted it, I basically just deleted the file and then run the game with the default graphics settings it chooses (for my card).
Hi. I am not changing any settings that come as the inital preset. The only thing I turn of is v sync
