We are…3 weeks into S4? …and Diablo 4 is actually gaining a lot of popularity on Steam. We all know Steam is a very small % from Diablo 4 playerbase, but seeing it actually gaining players and the concurrent users are rising and rising, even after 3 weeks from S4 … that is amazing.
That means “word of the month” …and that people are actually having a blast in S4 is shaping up good for Blizzard.
Can’t wait to see what S5 is bring up to the table. I hope Blizzard will not slow down on content and be even more aggressive to add it.
if its the same team that did s1 and s3… s5 will be a turd.
teams s2 and s4 seem to have at least 3 people that know wht fun is (at least my play style). I was already set that s5 is a skip for me just knowing the history of the "odd"ball team.
I am still actually having fun playing, it feels rewarding to play even a lowbie throw away alt (rep grinder). I stayed in wt2 until 52 on my rep grinder only doing helltide grind and made it to the last row of rep.
Kinda wish the brain buff scroll boosted the wt2 mobs to 60 but ill just grind my rep in wt2 until the spark and delete/repeat
The game has been on sale for a while (50%) just before S4 was released and it is again on sale. This could also explain the numbers of the chart. Reviews are now mostly positive and it is probably a good deal for those who didn’t own the game.
but S4 is pretty empty if you think about it.
i mean, sure the improvements were big, but they are improvement to the base game, they aren’t linked to a season and aren’t seasonal-only things.
This season is great, but due to the improvements to the base game, not to the seasonal theme.
Though ,it’s better this way since the base game being improved that much means that each new season will still have this flavor.
most probably the “S2” team will do “S5” i think if what was supposed to be S4 has simply be postponed.
This is exactly what I said before the season started. There’s literally 0 seasonal content aside from Iron Wolves reputation rewards. That’s not a season, jesters.
I know a few people who’ve come back. They waited a week or two to make sure the season was good (which it is). They’re now all playing still as am I. They did well this season, they need to keep it up. Yes I wish there was more and some true seasonal stuff, but still fun.
Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing more details about our launches coming later this year, including World of Warcraft: The War Within and Diablo IV’s first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. To celebrate these upcoming releases and to bring our communities together in new and special ways, we will soon share some exciting plans for other industry trade shows and conventions like Gamescom. - 04/25/2024
During an interview with Force Gaming at the start of November 2023, Rod Fergusson stated that Blizzard is planning a big reveal “early this summer” in “probably like six months or so.” We have past the 6 months and summer starts in a few weeks so get the hype going Rod. The Karen’s need something new to complain about.
sometimes having no season is better than having a bad season. This just proves how horrible s1 and s3 were as I am still enjoying playing this “season” well after I finished 100% everything a week+ ago (secret title achievement).
its possible some people have spilled over from even-steven and oddball season teams. Time will tell if s5 is a turd like s1 and s3, we will be able to confirm. I like how they added aspects from s2 (vampire stuff) into these items.
Now we need to get s6 with ghost rider motorcycle theme so we can have a fast moving mount that flies up and down hill side cliffs and flaming nickalos cage helms
I’ts also 50% off atm on Steam, i mean why not, no more expensive then other games at that point. The games ok, but I"m just disapointed they made it D3 2.0. Should’nt of been like any of the other diablo releases.
Anyone knows if season 5 will be another regular or the first of expansion? If they’re planning an expansion per year (which seems a bit too often for me) then every year will have only 4 seasons I think… but maybe 5 the first time around since it feels like expansion won’t be ready in 2-3 months.
I mean… S4 is fun to play - its easy to play strong builds on every class with very little effort.
Whether or not it lasts into the future depends entirely on Blizzard’s capacity to balance specs now, and make actual good seasonal content, which they have failed on 2/3 attempts.
However, credit must be given where due; I had barely played a couple of hours on all previous seasons, this season I have ~300 levels across all characters and still have interest to play more, and that’s a big difference.
