Diablo 4 – Out of Memory crash (possible memory leak)

The game occasionally crashes with an “Out of memory” error. Even though my PC has 16 GB DDR4, and Diablo 4 can use about 12 GB, it still runs out of memory after some time. This behavior looks like a memory leak, as memory usage keeps increasing until the crash.

System Specs:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR4
  • GPU: GTX1650
  • CPU: i5-10300H
  • DISK: NVMe
  • Game Version: 2.3.3.67827

Increase the the paging file in your windows will help with this issue. Its another old issue blizzard never fixes.

As example, mine is set to 64Gb and I have no issue at all.

Diablo 4 needs much more than the 12 or 16 GB requires. It takes about 20GB more.
