About a decade, so if wait 10 years D4 should be in the same state. Wait they mentioned D5 wouldn’t take a decade to come out, well crap, guess they better hurry up.

Online only, live service games I agree completely. Seems to be more of a race who can get the game out faster with the least amount of content. So far I’d say Blizzard came in first this year. But to be fair I haven’t played any other new live service games this year either so I could be wrong.

Blizzard mastered live service games long ago. They know exactly how to make money and don’t care if we think they are scummy for it.

I honestly feel all the soul and passion is gone from this game.
I dont ever think it was a game as much as a " project " they needed to release by a certain date no matter what the condition.
Theres just no " love " that was put in to making this game, no emotion, no… anything, its almost like they did it during a worldwide pandemic and everyone worked from home and " phoned it in ".

Fyi, D3 has fourms. D3 did nothing right except for the ultra casual looking for an arcade game without a loot hunt.

yeah the D3 forums are nice. They show player profiles. So much easier to weed out the loud-mouth angry noobs who don’t play.
I’m enjoying D3 S29, but the gushing in that article is a bit much.
Anyway, why did they end at 29? Why not 30???

30 is the big overall class rebalance patch project. Then the Altar goes back into the game. After that they recycle / remix old themes.
all of my being is hoping they took all those people and put them on D4 to try to slow the bleeding.

D4 is bad at almost every level. Fixing it would take pulling an “A Realm Reborn” on it where Square Enix brought in Naoki Yoshida to fix the disaster that was FFXIV v1.0 and relauching it as FFXIV: A Realm Reborn v2.0. Almost every major system was completely reworked to not be tedious and horrible.

Same company, should it really take another 4 or 5 years to make D4 decent? I really never have understood this as a valid point. Comparing D4 to POE is almost as bad, they are a different franchise, D4 shouldn’t be like POE. But D3 IS a Blizzard title. I understand different dev teams, but they are ALL Diablo titles.
It took a minute to get D3 playing well, you would think they would have learned.

how is finding a rare item that isnt for my class, and trading it for an equally rare item that is for my class buying power? can you explain it to me like im a 5 year old?

The vast majority of people crying to trade with their friends or with other players are full of crap. What they want to do is sell things on real money sites.

but, correct me if im wrong, the RMT trade is booming in diablo 3 right now correct?
people sell 20 greater rift 100 runs with 4 other players your class for about 100$ and you get to keep all the loot. correct?
its a trick question as i made sure to look it up on a number of sites before asking.
so what exactly are you preventing by stopping trade?
in d3 right now i can sell greater rift runs for money, and i can buy all drops in greater rifts 100 for money. what are you exactly accomplishing?
