D3 clone? At this point this sounds like an insult to d3 ) This game will become the worst of all diablo games.
The whole endgame progression is an illusion. Sacred and Ancestral items are just like diablo 3 normal/ancient/primal. The endgame is to farm the exact same gear 3 times.

Diablo 4 has way less in common with D3 then D3 had with D2 and D1.
The question is rather, is this even a Diablo game anymore? Besides the title and the obvious continuation of the story, it is so different to any Diablo game in history.

Diablo 3,5 / immortal
- Far too few skills
- far too few talents
- much too high CDs / resource costs
- far too few lagendary items that change a build / skill
- boss mechanics so boring there is PoE / lost ark much better!
- world boss is a lootpenyata without challenge bossmechanic
- world is so empty
- crafting doesn’t even have an affix table to see what affixes you can get
- affix are so boring +% dmg + %def -.- in 20 different forms
- getting the right affixes on items which you need to inspect every item after every instance takes so much time!
- playing together with others has no advantages or uses because you don’t really support each other no tank / heal / support

Its D3.5 with some popular things from other games. And hopefully a better endgame, compared to D3 “paragon 2000 grind”

Amen brother. I don’t understand why people can’t see these things and insist on this being some kind of good game. They literally made a clone of D3 then changed some things around to make it seem like they were actually working on something worthwhile. At this point i’d be totally OK with them delaying the game 2 or 3 years as long as it becomes something that isn’t a copy pasta train wreck.

It is a World of Warcraft clone, with a D3 skin. Better graphics for sure, but it is WoW in most all aspects, right down to herb and mineral farming to make elixers.
As a ps: sets will be available, but only after completing world challenges like RAID rewards in WoW. I expect sets will drop per raid dungeon, one piece for raid X, one piece for raid Y; and upgrades for the sets for completing other events: like some mat drop from a world boss kill. Or worse, a clan perk for a clan completing some stupid event. It is WoW in a D3 skin: expect nothing less.
