DEVS/Forum Mods: Create a Suggestion and Feedback Forum

DEVS/Forum Mods: Create a Suggestion and Feedback Forum.
I say this because General Discussions are 90% discounted by the mods, and even moreso not even seen by the Devs. Baldur’s Gate 3 has it, FFXIV has it, and many other popular games.

That particular forum is meant for exactly thus.
Suggestions on how to make the game better, and Feedback on issues (not bugs) story-wise considering inconsistencies, and other things for the Devs to address.

In short, please create a forum that the Devs actually look at, since the Gen Forums are not the place for such commentary. Creating a Forum strictly for that, and enforced as such, would be a boon to this game, and it’s community.

They won’t do that. Once upon a time, The Devs did read the forums or at least try to. But they were unable to translate all the rage language into a coherent readable language. So they came to the conclusion that having a real feed back forum would only lead to Discord.

Newsflash: This forum is the suggestions and feedback forum. It’s this way for all of their games.

They did. It’s called “PC General Discussion”.

 They could stand to create an Off Topic forum, for topics like “cake vs pie” and “what do you think of this build?”.

As they said, this topic and the PTR one are the suggestion / feedback forum.

it’s just that they take data from it and don’t answer.

Many things asked in this forum came to be (for example the reputation not reseting)

Didn’t the forums make enough of a train wreck of Diablo 3 for the same to be done to Diablo 4 in extra short order

That will never happen. Someone else reads it if at all, then they reword it/translate it into VOC if they actually understand what was said and how to classify it. Then it is made into an action item by a team that processes all these translations if they feel they want to do some work.
At that point the dev may see it, so you never get to talk to them directly ever. And I don’t actually fault this process.

I agree this is essentially how it should work. We don’t want the people actually building the game spending endless time on forums… we want them in their dev platform building stuff!

And you thought the forgotten realms was a D&D realm. It is here. We are the forgotten.

Thank you for your reply.
The Devs do not look at forums, that is why they have mods, but sometimes, just like in BG3, they set up a Forum of their own. ‘Suggestions and Feedback’. A one and done forum that they can look at, at their leisure, and the mods duty. This is the forum they use to comms with us, if they so choose. They also get all the juicy results of our labor. Meaning any bug finds or other issues are remitted though that medium, instead of other, more slow means (reporting tool) to actually give all Devs a reference point to see what is on the docket, at least in our respects.

I might be wrong, but personally doing over a hundred bug stomps in BG3 tends to make me believe we can do this, institute this, and make this a productive medium for the game.

Words?
