The Devs excuse for not fixing all the broken things wrong with necromancer pets are “They are tricky”.
Really? I’m playing S3 with a Construct “PET” that cannot be destroyed and has all of these insane abilites, support, attack, defensive shielding for me, and they can’t take the Golem pet and do the same thing as our pet commander?
I see exactly now why they did not fix or upgrade minion pets for the necromancer.
They just palm slapped every player dedicated ot the necromancer without saying one word.
The construct is proof they jsut told us all to…

Season 4, or Season 5 do we think?
If they cannot balance pets and develop decent AI its baffling that they decided to build a Season around a companion

The Seneschal companion is not a pet. It’s more of a FOLLOWER.
WHen they said PETS are TRICKY, they are referring to the balance between the power of your necro and the power of your pets. Their current design is your Necro makes the bulk of the damage while the pet plays as support. It’s tricky to balance their powers.
If you think PETS should have the bulk of the damage, this is not this game. If you pay attention closely to the game, you would realize that the main damage dealer of the Summoner is its Ring of Mendeln and/or Xfal’s Corroded Signet… not the pet. I am referring to high level gameplay.

So tricky that indy studios can figure it out. Then again those studios don’t have Cosby rooms.

So just make a stat that decreases necros power by a % for every pet they have out. More pets = less necro power.
Problem solved, tweak the % as needed and make spells that only buff the pets/debuff enemies to increase pet damage against enemies. I mean, isn’t that the whole point of curses.
I don’t know why people act like this is complicated.
i do not agree that pets are tricky. most skills in the game is one click & kill 95% of the screen in 0.45 sec, while pets are slow, low damage and you cannot control where they hit/attack. no matter what you say, even if they make minions deal the most damage in the game, the minions will still be slow
& uncontrollable, appose to all the skills that are instant, cannot be stunned/killed and destroy the screen.
in summary there ARE NO ARGUMENT, what so ever the will convince me that PETS are hard to make better with out making them too good, or the best build in the game…
also literately every other game manages to make pet interact with other skills with out removing power from the player.
the devs as just being dumb.
You would have a point if they didn’t just buff the crap out of a utility ability turning it into a very capable attack move that deals pretty much all of the character’s damage.
It seems less that it’s tricky and more that they’re just not willing to do it for reasons. If they didn’t want afk pet builds they shouldn’t have added a pet class to the game.
